This was a GREAT thread at CF. Read the link below, to help get you started.

Alone, just me, and no one else! In the privacy of my kitchen.

Lean Cuisine spaghetti mushroom and meat sauce ON TOP OF TOASTED whole wheat bread spread with mayo, topped with dill pickle slices, cut up, and dribbles of tobasco sauce.

To each his own! It is a matter of preference and fig variety. My Celeste figs are sweet as soon as they first turn brown, but my Magnolia figs are bland and tasteless until full ripe. Even the Celeste figs are much sweeter when they are dead ripe, but they are sweet and edible much sooner than the Magnolia. If your fig friend is happy with her unripe figs, let her eat them early. I would prefer to wait. There is always a trade-off. If I wait until my Magnolia figs are ripe, the birds always get them before the next day, so I tend to pick them at an unripe stage and let them ripen "on the shelf" for a day or so. Not as good, but at least I get them instead of the birds!

My mother made chicken salad in the summer. To go with it we'd have some nice buttered toast or rolls. It really makes a great hot weather supper or lunch. My Mom's Chicken Salad 2 skinless bone-in chicken breasts, *cooked, deboned and cubed 1 1/2 c. uncooked pasta, cooked accdg. to package directions, drained 1 c. diced celery 1 red delicious apple, diced 1 can baby peas, refrigerated and drained 3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped Mayo **Miracle Whip, opt. salt to taste Mix chicken, celery and apple with mayo until very moist. Gently blend in pasta and add more mayo if desired. Carefully add in the peas and hard-boiled eggs, again adjusting moistness if necessary. Chill and serve on lettuce with buttered toast. Note: I always start to make the salad a day or 2 before putting it all together because everything should be cold when you mix it up. *I used to boil or poach the breasts. Now I put them in the crockpot with a can of chicken broth. No fuss, no watching them cook. I strain the broth from cooking and use it to make soup. I also cook the pasta and eggs the day ahead and keep refrigerated until ready to mix the salad. **You can add some Miracle Whip if you like the salad a little sweeter. Most of the time I just use Mayo because the apple provides enough sweetness.

1. Pay off the improvements that we have had to make on the new house despite having a mortgage and heloc on the old house (furnace, exterior doors, insulation) 2. Make that savings account we are all supposed to have with 6 months of expenses (thanks terriks). 3. Get new windows to replace the leaky aluminum framed ones. 4. Hardwoods or cork floors in halls and kitchen/dining and den, tile with an electric heat pad in foyer, tile in half bath and laundry room. 5. New cabinets and an island in the kitchen with 38 inch counter height and a single bowl sink with a decent garbage disposal and nice laminate counter tops. The cabs may be locally made custom, but I can save $$$ by getting laminate counter tops. 6. Hardwood on bedroom floor or tear out the 1978 main bath and redo with new tile and tub and decently high cabs with drawers for storage. 7. Whatever we did not do in #6. 8. OMG! We still have that hideous wall-o-brown-brick 1978 fireplace in the den! DO SOMETHING - cover with wood, tear 3/4 of it down and make the smaller fireplace nice by covering with stone, do something to lessen the dark cave effect. Put in an efficient gas insert or a pellet insert if gas prices have skyrocketed. 8. By now it is time to re-roof!

Depends on the restaurant and what they do well. From a burger joint to greasy spoon to fine dining I eat what I happen to like at the particular place. I will drive out of my way for that special something. Even simple things like that special burger or clubhouse sandwich (where they use real roast turkey, not the deli stuff). I never order salad unless they make an exceptionally good taco, fresh fruit fruit or seafood salad. My friend and I were recently talking about the wonderful fresh fruit salads diners used to serve. They were huge and sometimes served in a pineapple bowl. Other times on a plate, sometimes with canned pear halves or peaches added alongside the huge mix of fresh fruit.. Always a choice of sherbet or cottage cheese. One place even added a square of jello to the plate. I don't understand people who order basic bacon and eggs when several variations, chops, steak, linguica, omelettes and scrambles are offered. Same with grilled chicken breast. Why? I do eat things I can fix at home but that DH doesn't like. Like liver and onions or lamb. I'm a veal piccata person he likes parmigiana.

It's funny you should post this thread....I just finished reading it on CF. My arteries feel like they're clogging up after reading it! I must admit, I'm more like Kay. I eat frozen milky ways hidden in the freezer. Thank God there's none in there and hasn't been for months! I have no control. The best way to control it is not to have them in the house to begin with.

I commented I eat a can of those awful, greasy canned tamales about once a year.
That orange grease should scare me.....but I eat away.

Oreo cookies and a big glass of milk. I can make one package disappear in about 30 minutes. Fortunately I only allow myself one package a year. I think today may be that day :-)

If there is pie in the fridge I will go and cut just a sliver and pop it into my mouth. No plate and no utensils. Then I will keep going back for just another sliver and another and another. It's just a sliver. ;-)

I don't really hide what I eat. Like some on the other thread I like Jack In The Box tacos with their mystery paste. LOL

I haven't had a Hostess cupcake for years and years. I wonder if they still taste the same. The Hostess cherry pie someone mentioned sounds really good. I used to get fried pies at Mickey D's.

When no one is looking, I eat peanut butter with a big spoon. If my boys saw me do that they'd never eat bread again. Sometimes I eat Nuttella that way too.

I really don't hide what I eat. Maybe eating Peanut Butter
from the jar with a spoon. I would yell at my grown kids for doing that. lol!!

Since I live alone and eat alone except on holidays and birthdays, I can eat any thing any time!

Right now I have some Tootsie Roll Midges on the desk, and one in my mouth.

I used to keep a stash of chocolate covered raisins hidden in a drawer. Haven't done that for a long time.

I like Jack in the Box tacos too. I have a little food rating book around here somewhere and believe it or not... the tacos at Jack in the Box are rated healthy!

WHAT, you can eat peanut butter on bread, well I never. I get caught when the kids call me on the phone and my mouth is just about stuck together with the peanut butter. Love that stuff.

When no one is looking, I eat the left over food from a meal while I am cleaning the kitchen. I managed to break this habit for a few years by telling myself it's worse to eat it than throw it away, but now I'm back at it.

When I am not dieting (have lost 20 pounds since November so the last time was probably October). I have a craving for chocolate covered raisins stirred into peanut butter and eaten with a spoon.
Heavenly...
Now I hide my 100 calorie chocolate mint cookies and Boston Mint tea bags (not food I know).

I melt a chunk of mozzarella or swiss cheese in the microwave and dip slices of warm, buttered, crusty sourdough bread in it.

It's not what I eat, it's what I drink. When there's not enough cream left in the bottom of the carton to do anything with, I will drink it straight up out of the carton. Yum!

No hang ups about eating any of the things I eat. I don't eat a lot of things, but it is just because they don't appeal to me. I don't worry about calories or cholesterol....if I am hungry for something, that is what I eat.

I take a couple tablespoons of peanut butter, pour in a fair amount of brown sugar, a couple drops of milk to make it workable and mush it all together and eat. Yum. Nobody has *ever* witnessed me doing this, and I've been doing it for 40 years.

And ... Sour Patch Kids. I am totally addicted to them.
