HERITAGE (English) - shell pink; two trained as climbers. THE PILGRIM (English) - blush yellow; two trained as climbers. These four roses are trained as climbers up a west facing trellis attached to my house. The roses are fronted by a raised flower bed, constructed from native stone, containing reblooming bearded irises in shades of blue-white-lilac-pink, dwarf shasta daisies, dwarf purple coneflower and lavender. Central stone path planted with creeping thyme, johny-jump-up violets and creeping Roman chamomile. New flower border: SHARIFA ASMA (English) - light warm pink Lavender AMBRIDGE ROSE (English) - apricot pink Lavender HAPPY CHILD (English) - canary yellow Stone steps leading up to potting shed. Right side of steps planted with sunflowers and lavender. Left side of steps planted with 2 MOLINEUX (English, yellow blend), annual blue cornflowers, and violets (var. Etain; LOVELY fragrance!). Just to the right, at the top of the steps, against a trellis attached to east facing fence wall: EVELYN (English) - apricot pink ABRAHAM DARBY (English) - smoky pink blushed coppery apricot More Lavender Front of potting shed (facing north) planted with Prince Charles Clematis, foxgloves, native bleeding hearts, monkshood and perennial forget-me-nots (var. Looking Glass and Jack Frost). BTW, the F-R-A-G-R-A-N-C-E!!! Between the irises, then the roses, followed by the chamomile, lavender, coneflower, thyme and sweet violets. It is positively orgasmic. The first year I planted roses, I put my bands directly into the ground, and had about a 50% loss due to either the ground drying out or animals snacking on their little canes. Now I pot mine up into 1 or 2g pots for a year and let them get more established before they go into the ground. Rogue Valley ships throughout the summer, and stops shipping during the cold months, so its really up to your judgement whether to plant them now or wait in terms of heat. Hope this helps :) Tammy

OMG Harryshoe - what a beautiful bush! Light peachy/apricot is my favorite rose color, so I have wanted Tamora for a while. Your pictures have inspired me as to what good care will do for this rose. I also am curious about her scent, which many love but some hate, evidently. Your garden looks immaculate too - sigh, I have much to strive for. Thanks to everyone who shares my joy over finding hidden treasures in the oddest places. Yes, I was not happy to find our expensive nurseries are just potting up bare roots - same thing we can do here - so while I will buy potted roses it is very rare I will pay full price. I could mail order but I usually only do that for specialty items, like minis and my one own root Lemon Spice (which hasn't performed all that well for $25). The few times I have struck gold at Walmart - the plant quality was impressive - I have a very nice "New Year" from them that has a delicious tangerine color (too bad it gets BS, but does re-leaf out fast.) Greenhaven, I am very intrigued by Ebb Tide, I would try her if I can find her cheap, some people here seem to think she is great - other times it seems her performance is unimpressive?

These are all beautiful pics. My Moonlight in Paris plant was good last year , its second year I think, but this year it's stunning. Blooms are very large, so delicately shaded, and really have a beautiful form. It is fragrant too. It repeats very well and is healthier than many. Tamora stays short for me too. Mine seems to lean a little more towards orange. Tamora
