since we had such a late lunch, it won't be more than chicken noodle (wide noodle from costco) that's ok... dh is sick...

I got a bug for stuffed peppers so I made 2 of them. One 1/2 would have been plenty! They were ok, I haven't made them in about 20 yrs. I had some LO mac & cheese I made the other night with it. Then I made some brownies. I seem to be cooking just as much as I used to.

I just fixed myself a hamburger with a slice of tomato and some cheese and had iced tea to drink. I hope I am not coming down with something, my chest seems a little congested.

We are having marinated pork roast with cherry sauce, steamed rice, green beans and a salad. Bobby and Amber are coming for dinner.

Susan, hope your DH feels better (and hope you don't catch it)! Chicken noodle is good for whatever ails you.

Glenda, I love smoke meat--and fish, too. Everytime you have that smoked chicken I turn green with envy. No good smoked anything around these parts.

Joann, stuffed peppers freeze well, so now you'll have meals when you don't feel like cooking. Glad you're cooking--it's good for the soul.

Sue, sure hope you aren't getting sick. Got any chicken broth, just in case. A cup of broth sure helps the congestion, etc. Maybe you'll feel better in the morning (ha!--doctor Patti to the rescue!) :-)

Nothing overly impressive here tonight, but it was good to me. A hot dog covered with sauerkraut, with some mustard on it. A cup of lima (butter) beans, and a small salad.

I hope all the ones not feeling well are soon much, much better.

Nita, that pork roast is my go-to company dinner and I thank you again for the recipe. Just love the sauce!! And the pork comes out fork-tender after marinating it. Enjoy!!

Have our 7 year old grandson staying overnight and he wanted pizza.
So pizza it was!!

I had a homemakers meeting today and for lunch we had homemade pizza. She made the dough and it had brown sugar in it as a secret ingredient. That makes it soft in the inside and crispy and brown on the outside. It was very good with sherbet for dessert. So I never had anything tonight. I'm still fighting this cold for 3 weeks now.

I had a frozen chicken pot pie. We had a lot of running to do today and was going to go to our favorite barbecue place, but they had a tour bus there and the line was almost out the door. So we went to Chili's. Jody had chicken fried steak and I just had one of the appetizer plates...where you pick three out of about six choices. I have put off buying groceries for several days and Jody said he was not going to go to bed so early tonight, so when we finished feeding the animals, we went back to town and did the grocery shopping. I still need to buy meat, but I get that at Krogers, so I will do that tomorrow. Anyway, came home and put everything away....then decided to have a chicken pot pie.
