Ran to Full Moon BBQ and got a 3 rib sandwich without the sauce.

Was in a hurry as I had an association meeting at 1:30.

T'was ok, didn't eat the bread.

Later, after the meeting I treated myself to vanilla bean frozen yogurt. Delicious!

Everyone's meals so far would be something I wouldn't mind having. Mine was pork, sauerkraut, and mashed potatoes.

For those of you who missed the sun, it's been shining on me here in Ohio. But we'll be giving it back tomorrow, darn. Supposed to rain again !!

I had meatloaf, candied sweet potatoes, and cottage cheese. There were strawberries and yellow cake but I didn't have any. Nothing green in this meal but I have been busy riding around on the big rig holding Alyssa while Amber drove. We were not on the road. The sun was nice and Alyssa was wearing her hat and had a lot of fun this afternoon.

Houstonmom, I confess I pulled the pork chops out of the freezer that was leftover from when I made them a few weeks ago. Now, YOUR dinner sounds mouth-watering. I'm waiting for March 15 when the winner of the FD kitchen will be officially announced. Do you know for sure Palos won? I'm pretty sure they did, but---

It was sunny all day today and very warm. 14 C. They are saying that March is supposed to be 10 degrees warmer than normal, and today sure was.

Yesterday I made 2 loaves of bread and gave one to my neighbour friend, so I made 2 more today. Hung clothes out on the line as well.

Step-father called and invited us to dinner. Hamburger and macaroni casserole, cheese and garlic bread, caesar salad and red wine. It was a very nice visit and dinner!

Roast pork tenderloin, medley of diced Parsnips, Rutabaga turnips and carrots roasted with a light glaze of honey and butter and steamed green beans.
Homemade apple pie for dessert.

Ham and pea soup that I made a couple days ago with the ham bone from Christmas. Love my freezer!

Later I'm going to make a 321 cake.

Italian chicken sausage sandwiches with lots of colored peppers and onions, a side of roasted garlic cauliflower that was leftover form last night and a tossed salad.

Roasted chicken, baked rice and roasted broccoli and carrots.

I almost had Italian sausage with peppers and onions, but couldn't find the pepper. I just know I have one in there. :-)

Carol, how do you bake rice? Do you cook it and then add stuff to it and bake? Your veggies sound good, too!

Baked rice is so easy.....I just add one part rice to two cups boiling broth or water, salt, olive oil and onions and thyme if desired and put it in a covered pan. It bakes in about 40 minutes but can be held for a while. I put it on at about 350-375.
Reminds me of when I got the recipe 45+ years ago. Several women from our church had young children and our DH's worked afternoons. We would take turns every week having a dinner for the moms and the kids.
One of the women gave me her baked rice recipe and added a helpful hint......if cooked rice gets spilled on the floor, just leave it a day or two and it sweeps right up. We still laugh about that.

Homemade pizza with italian sausage, ground beef, onion, mushrooms and of course lots of mozzerella cheese.

Mike grilled pork chops. I heated up the house special fried rice from the restaurant the night before. I also cooked up some pot stickers.

I had made a birthday cake for Bobby who turned 19 yesterday so that was dessert later.

It was all very good.

Carol--thank you so much! I couldn't copy/paste fast enough. I may never cook rice on the stove again if the oven's going to be on anyway. What a great idea!!

Nita, I need to learn to use our grill. Harry's always done it, but isn't able to much anymore. We have a nice Weber that's barely been used. For some reason I have a fear of it. Happy Birthday to Bobby! You'll be an empty nester before you know it.

That's what I do with my pork chops and rice. It's the only way I can make brown rice edible! It doesn't turn to mush for me, like it does on the stove.

I usually chop up carrots and onions and celery, green/red peppers, whatever veggies. Throw rice and broth in and bake.
When I add pork chops, I brown them first, lay them on top, and everything bakes in one dish.
