Champagne Punch- made popular during the Prohibition when my home was built (1925).

Definitely a gin and tonic (Bombay Sapphire for me too raynag ;) ) in a tall straight glass filled with ice.

Ours also has two personalities. By day, especially with morning light, it is a strong cup of coffee with a lot of cream. By night, with the lights dimmed low, and a redish cast coming from the pendants, it is a glass of Pinot Noir (reddish / rusty tones).

My current kitchen is a strawberry pop, sickly sweet and not good for me. I adored the mauve countertops until two years ago which can only be explained by the fact that I love pink. My new kitchen will be a hot cup of coffee that makes me feel warm and cozy, like being with an old friend.

Mine is a Black Butte Porter, with the cap still on. It's strong and satisfying - but not open for the drink just yet. :)

Momj47 - I agree, your kitchen is very pretty. The reddish tones in your cabinets really make the latte accent colors in your backsplash and countertop pop. To me, your home has a vacation getaway feel to it. Reminds me of an upscale chalet. Love it.

Hmmmm...I think mine would Chimay Blue label beer, Coppery brown in color with a creamy head on it. Im going for a french country look and while Im not quite there Im close enough, kind of like the beer itself, its a Belgium beer made by Monks but the town of Chimay is close enough to france. Plus its my husbands favorite.

Black Russian.

Black tea with a little skim milk. Other flavors come and go but I never get tired of classic black tea. The milk takes away some of the harshness but doesn't make it too sweet.

Right now it is a Pat O's Hurricane. No rhyme or reason for anything, cr*p everywhere, no organization, and leaves you feeling like s#*t!!!! Hopefully before summer's end it will feel like a soothing chai latte!!!!

It's a glass of water right now..invisible. Let's hope it becomes a vintage Port, rich, dark and lucious :oP

Mine would be a nice, steaming Mexican Coffee made with gold Tequila, Kahlua, coffee, brown sugar and topped with whipped cream and served in a gorgeous, footed mug from Santa Fe . . . ahhhhhh! The perfect drink to sip on our cool mountain evenings up here!

Wish I could build a root beer float kitchen that from all outward appearances was a fine wine.

Hi, LightlyStarched. A nice crisp white wine with a fruity aroma.

Currently I would say a 3 day old, open and flat, way too warm 40 (maybe Colt 45?) inside a ripped and crumpled paper bag. I think we are aiming for something a Guinness- always inviting, relaxing, and great with friends- and with a touch of frothy goodness. And a side of Champagne soaked raspberries.

I'm so glad to see these posts! After I wrote that last night (pui?), I thought everyone would just roll their eyes and pass. I love everyone's description. I find defining a "personality" for my kitchen is helping me make some last decisions.

This one is a black and tan in a tall, frosted glass.

The one I'm planning for the new house will be more of a Black Russian, but to describe it currently I'm trying to think of what the Brady Bunch would drink - that's what it would be. A soda straight from the fountain?!?

Just thinking about it gives me a hangover.

Mine is an Amaretto straight up. It has a lot of dark golden hues and warmth.

I think mine is an old fashioned vanilla milk shake. Yum!

Mine's also a Black and Tan, flavorful, earthy, rich but cozy.
But there's also a little sip of champagne on the side.
So a celebration with friends that relaxes into a cozy pub evening.

WOW! I never met so many other women who liked gin--I was always the only one ordering Tanqueray and Tonic. My old kitchen was more generic gin & tonic, but my new kitchen deserves something more upscale: Bombay Sapphire and tonic in a Baccarat tumbler.

I have what looks to be a nice bottle of Pino Grigio.

Bbut when you get closer you see the cork has been shredded and there is no way to get it out and it just leaves you feeling frustrated anytime you try to do anything with it.

AT this point I'm a Coors. Eventually it will get the job done (i.e. drunk) but it takes so much effort.

This thread is great fun, but I just cant come up with an answer. My old kitchen was rather like stale urine.

Mine's not done yet but it's going to be a hot chocolate or eggnog I think. Rich and usefull and old fashioned.

Oh, this is fun! Hopefully mine will be a tall glass of fresh squeezed lemonade. Old fashioned, simple and comfortable.

Since we haven't started, we're 2-buck Chuck! And, while we're remodeling, it'll be cases of 2-buck Chuck, and hopefully, we'll end up with a hearty, smooth Zin.

Before - warm, oversweentend lemon/lime Kool-aid (at camp we called it 'bug juice')

Now - Bourbon on the rocks by day, red wine by night

I'm a liqueur person, so I would have to say Bailey's Irish Cream with a touch of Amaretto. Oh wait.....that's what I'm drinking!!!!!!!! Maybe that's why my kitchen looks like that!!!!!!!!!

Mine is a mint julep in large crystal glass - refined, strong & straight forward - in keeping with an antebellum house. Upon closer inspection, there's always a Sapphire & Tonic waiting to come out when the julep's not looking!

With all the stone, crisp white cabs, icy nickel hardware, and soft blue island, mine's a cool tumbler of fresh spring water. Doesn't hurt the metaphor that the windows look onto a mountain-fed brook!

Now that the cabs are up I think I've changed my mind. Mine feels more like a very tall vanilla shake with a shot (or two) of Kahlua. Mmmm, mmmm, good!
