Yessir. That's true. I have been doing a lot of Moon appreciation this week. I think this month it's called the buck moon. It came up yellow yesterday. I remember walking a dog at 1:30 this a.m. and thinking to myself how the full moon played into military history.

The color occurred due to the timing. The sun was rising (or nearly so) and the light from the sun reflected enough to add that color to the moon. If one had seen it about 30 minutes prior, it was just an ordinary lunar eclipse. A lunar eclipse is so much easier on the eyes than a solar eclipse. Of course, one has to be up and around for the lunar one. Be careful when observing any solar eclipse, even a partial one can do damage to one's eyes.

Great picture - I couldn't see it at work, however, and so I just now got to view it. Closer to the beach, the skies weren't so clear, but I took pictures through the clouds anyway. I haven't looked at them yet, but I know the images will be blurred by the clouds. A few minutes later, the moon was in clear skies. Lars
