Big Red has been out and about and grazing with the others the last couple of days - I am so relieved. May not have to quarantine after all - whew. He was definitely stressed about something though, not sure what. Mine are goldies - not koi - who are indoors over the winter. I moved them out early this year - mid March - and they all seemed OK until the new fish showed up a week and 1/2 ago. I guess what Im curious about is if in the wild they would travel in packs or schools and be "bonded" to each other.... do they relate to each other as indviduals or is one fish pretty much interchangeable with another fish to them. When I first put the new ones in it seemed the 2 groups mingled a little but for a couple of days tended to stick together, old fish together and new fish together. It's just interesting to speculate what if anything goes on in the fish mind. They are much more aware than I thought they would be.... they can distinguish between me who feeds them vs. my cat who wants to eat them.

So you have done this backwarsd , choosing paint color comes after furniture choices now you are going to have a problem because you need to work with wall color. With tha color which is not too bad but steers you toward browns I think I would look for something in a taupey leather that works with the paint .Or maybe a navy blue to take you away from browns altogether. Yes a designer would be a good idea .

Use several sisal horizontal scratching posts, and get a short pile plush type carpet. No loops, no frize. Low pile plush.

Thanks! The long table by the door is a coffee table that is a temporary place to put all the dog stuff we need to take the old dude out (he’s blind and can’t go out except on a retractable leash). Looks terrible and definitely will have to resolve that. There are a couple large end tables with leaves that make them square and two coffee tables in the storage unit. Will give them a try in the corner. The current square table there IS too small and needs a new home elsewhere bc it’s also a cool piece - has an inlaid chessboard top. Not sure what to replace the coffee table by the door with to stash the leashes and shoes but that’s a project for another day! Thanks for the help!
