It's been such a pretty day here with more to come, if the weatherman is right! Tonight we're having spaghetti and meat balls, salad with Raven's delicious avocado dressing and garlic toast.

Hmmm, we're following different calendars. lol

Tonight I had a pork chop, mashed potatoes/gravy, and steamed corn.

It's been terribly overcast here today in Ohio. Temps in low 40s.

Well, it is still Saturday up here in NY. We had tenderloin, roasted potatoes, salad and jello. Oh, homemade bread.

Kittiesmom, here is the recipe. Sharon didn't include a name, so I named it... Lima Beans Sharon KT 1 pkg of frozen Fordhook Lima Beans 1 small onion. diced finely 1 sm. jar of chopped pimentos-drained 1/2 cup sour cream-room temp 1 stick butter Melt butter in a saute pan & add the onions & pimentos..gently cook until tender. Meanwhile, cook the limas per pkg directions, & drain. Add the hot limas to the onion mixture. Gently stir in the sour cream & add salt & pepper to taste-don't be stingy w/the seasoning. You can add a little more butter if you care to, at this point. NOTE: This dish must be prepared just before dinner-serve immediately once you add the sour cream. DELISH!!! It is definitely DELISH!!! I gave my DD a "sample" of it today, and she loved it and asked for the recipe. I see Sharon has posted a recipe for Super Delish Baked Pork Chops. Can't wait to try that. Thanks, Sharon. Sue

Shirley, that coney dog is calling me! Glad the snow and ice are gone so you can get out and about! Jasdip, did your team win? I haven't been keeping up with the Olympics. My bad! I had 5 large baking potatoes that needed to be used so I made them into twice-baked potatoes. Baked the potatoes, scooped out the pulp, mashed it with butter, milk and sour cream. Added shredded cheddar, sliced green onions chopped parsley and some chopped bacon. Topped with more cheese and bacon. Put them on a cookie sheet and they are in the freezer before being stored in bags and run through the Food Saver. They sure look pretty! Sue, glad you are able to get out again. Lunch sounds great. Little Alyssa will soon be a 3-year old. It's a great age. I've never had Captain D's but it looks a lot like Long John Silvers. Glenda, I really like Thai coconut soup, but the rest of your meal sounds even better.

Raven, simple meal, I like it! Kittie, that is nice that he cooked. Well I made huge buns, they spread for some reason, so made huge patties..cooked them on the Foreman, after some onion slices and bacon..then loaded up with tomato and lettuce..so that was it..no sides...just mondo burgers. Oh product alert..Kraft slices, White Cheddar Habanero Cheese..really quite tasty not hot at all..just spicy..never noticed them before..and I buy a lot of sliced cheeses..so I'm not sure if it's new or Safeway just started carrying it. But I highly recommend..for a little flavor punch.

It has been another full and busy day. I fixed food to go with grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and we took it all to Amber and Mike's. I took corn on the cob, baked beans, fried potatoes, coleslaw, a cake and the meats. Awhile after eating we came home with Cheryl, Kevin and Alyssa. I have been outside all day since our dinner. My supper was just a fried egg, buttered toast and hot tea. It was a late supper for me. May have bad weather move in tonight. I hope your hubby does well Sherry. Will add him to my prayers. I don't know what I will fix if anything on Sunday, but this evening I had french toast I had in my freezer. Another long day with the kids.

Snowing here but not sticking. Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms
from Costco. Tomorrow will be Corned Beef & Cabbage!!!

OK, now I know I'm fixated on the day and so determined to get it right that I get it wrong! Wonder if it'd work better if I went by the date instead of the day? A big fat sigh!

Everyone had a great dinner--I'm about ready for bed. Don't know why I'm so tired--sure isn't because I overused my brain today!

It's 53 degrees right now. Been nice all day. Duray brought home a Chinese exchange student, who's spending the night with us. We had homemade cheeseburgers. The Chinese kid hates cheese so he had a plain burger. We also had baked seasoned fries and pork n beans...which I had to make the kids eat. I loved them as a kid, don't know what their problem is. Lauren is baking an apple pie right now. It's about 200 degrees in my house.

Son in law cleaned the driveway--again had 5 inches new stuff last night, I cleaned the steps, and will prepare for more tomarrow. Nothing special planned yet. Might try to make a market run tomarrow if snow holds off. Roads still interesting!

I had some oysters left from night before last, so fried them. Tomorrow, Sunday, Nita and Mike will be here....hoping they will let us take them out for Mexican food.

It was gorgeous here today so we hit the road to see what we could get into, hit a few sales, got some goodies, then decided to go to Landrys seafood on the waterway at the Woodlands. OMG had one of the best meals in a long time, we both had the broiled platter, with steamed veggies and a wonderful rice mix. They are pricy but oh so worth it occasionally. We have their VIP membership card which is a great deal.

We both said we needed a nap after that.

We went to Bob's Steak House and had steaks and salad bar. My steak was so tender I could have cut it with my fork I think.

We are in Kerrville, TX for the night. Have had beautiful weather for our trip so far. Got off to a bad start on Thursday and ended up in Tucson to get our engine fixed. Ended up being a hose and clamp, we got lucky. So we are a day behind.

Marilyn, Mexican sounds wonderful. See you tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing all the gals on Monday night. Mike is going to come with us so he can visit with Raven's husband.

Dinner tonight was hamburgers cooked on our little George Foreman grill.
