LOL muspic...ok..here it is :) The directions look wordy but after you get the method, it's a breeze. I only do 1 egg at a time but I suppose you can do 2...I wouldn't try more than that until you get the hang of it. Just start with 1 egg. This only takes me less than 2 minutes. Try to have a dedicated 'egg pan'; good quality, heavy bottomed. The secret is NOT cooking the egg too much in the beginning. I use a large Pampered Chef rubber spatula. Flop it over on the cheese as soon as you can do it in one movement. Once the egg is on top of the cheese, leave it alone. Another tip is to NOT use too much cheese (if you do, it won't get crispy, just melt-y...you need the Maillard affect to create the "brownness". I'll link what that is below.) CRISPY CHEESE OMELET Have all ingredients prepared before starting. 1 egg scrambled with salt & freshly ground black pepper Dash of hot sauce if desired 1 - 1.5 Tablespoons cheddar cheese...use real Cheddar, not American. The sharper the better :) Put the cheese aside. 1 heavy-bottomed, good quality non-stick pan. (I use a non-stick crepe pan.) Olive oil for oiling pan. 1 large rubber spatula Salsa if desired for garnish. Heat pan a bit on high, put in a tiny bit of extra-virgin olive oil, spread around with rubber spatula. Put egg in hot pan, turn immediately to MEDIUM. When almost halfway done, push eggs to side. This only takes a few seconds. Spread cheese on other half of pan and turn the egg on top of the cheese & let cook browning the cheese, don't stir. When ready to remove, use the rubber spatula to gently scrape it off the bottom of the pan in case the cheese sticks...you want the cheese to stay on the egg! You can also use a non-stick turner. Don't worry if the egg isn't perfectly shaped...the cheese covers a lot of imperfection. :) Plop cheese side down on plate. If you want, you can use a paper towel to blot some of the fat from the cheese. But, there's not much there and that's where all the flavor is :) Really jazzes up that 1 egg! I simply set my spreadsheet up in Excel. Granted, until now (or more honestly, this past winter) I haven't been great about it, but with my ongoing build I have a massive spreadsheet going for this. One tab for financial outlays, who the check is made out to, why I purchased, the amount (including a tax column -- and I separate CT and MA taxes since that will make a difference next April 15th...) I have more tabs for each room (okay, I did run the closets together). In these it isn't so much the money but the plans as I pick each thing out: colors, stains, tile, fixtures. You can copy in an image of how each room should look -- dimensions and all. I have links in them to Ideas -- and I color code my Excel cells. (Does GC pay out of what I allotted, or do I go out and pay? Which part was from my log kit expenditure? Is this something I already own? There's a color for each of those!) There's also the overall design page. Anything about the exterior of the house itself, and/or anything that is unifying in all the rooms. I'm having fun re-learning how to be anal-retentive! -- at one point I was very anal-retentive when it came to organizing CD's and LP's by artist order -- I can pick that skill set up again! No, one thing I haven't done is track the number of outlets in each room -- but that sounds like a great idea! I'd rather do this on a real computer than on a "device" because I find it so much easier AND quicker to type on a real keyboard! So, not really interested in finding an "app", I think.

I might try Anylist, but I hate typing anything on my phone, and so if it requires much typing, I will never use it. I'm fine typing on a regular keyboard, however, but I never type with my thumbs, other than the space bar. What would be nice would be a list to keep inventory of what is in the refrigerator and pantry, along with expiration dates so that I will know when I need to use certain things. In the past, I have bought too much pasta and forgot to use it before its expiration date. I'm better with flours because I use them frequently, or else store them in the freezers. I have several fountain pens and four different colors of fountain pen ink, and so I like to write my lists with pens. I used to write my grocery lists in Russian and German, partly to help retain my vocabularies and partly to help with my German and Cyrillic calligraphy. One roommate I had would get very irritated when he would find one of my grocery lists written in Russian, and so I made a point of leaving them around so that he could find them. My brother and I still write all our lists on paper, but I use pen and cursive, and my brother uses pencil and prints. I find cursive to be much faster, and I'm very good at it. We get free notepads from real estate agents almost every week and find those very useful for our grocery lists.

It was showing up when I looked at my Activity, but not when I went to this thread. 🙄 @blfenton, the menu was Chicken Baked in Wine (recipe in my post way upthread), Lemon Steamed Potatoes (photo of recipe a couple of posts under that), and steamed green beans seasoned with a drizzle of toasted sesame oil. For dessert, I served fresh strawberries with a Romanoff sauce (photo of recipe in same post as potato recipe) except I used Amaretto instead of brandy. My friend’s wife brought white cheddar and Nut Thins to have with our pre-dinner drinks. I think my neighbor and his wife were happy to be able to go out to dinner. He doesn’t get to do that very often. We enjoyed sitting around the table and talking far later than I thought we would. I call that a success!
