I am making homemade meatball subs.
Patti I gave you a report on last nights dinner on that thread(the bubble up enchiladas).

It is fun to have a visit with friends! Someday I hope we can take some time to do a journey. For now it will have to do with RVing at the river for Easter and visiting with family and of course good food!

Sounds like a great visit with Mike and Nita. They came to my place many years ago and we went to Irondale Cafe for lunch.

Had a GREAT day out with neighbor friend.
Went to MugShots for one of their gourmet burgers.

I had the Gamble with chili, Rotel cheese, etc

Friend had their Savell burger with smoke bacon, cheese, red onion, etc.

I was tempted to get their peanut butter burger but for the price, I wasn't sure if I would like it.

Side was beer batter ff's.
Our first time there and won't be our last. Ohhhhhh so filling.

Then we went to Aldi's and shopped around.

I'm glad all of you had such a good visit.

I fixed tilapia for my meal tonight. Reheated leftover mashed potatoes and creamed corn to go with it.

Lunch was absolutely delicious. We are going to have the dessert tonight while watching a movie with Timm. Tomorrow we will have salad and sliders for lunch on our way to Naples.

Thanks again Patti for having us over. It sure was fun sitting around the table visiting. Give Harry another hug from me.

Raven, I guess every recipe that looks good doesn't necessarily mean it's going to turn out like we think. I don't know how many things I've tried that didn't live up to the hype. Have a great time with family--I know I'm sure looking forward to it. And if you ever do take a trip in your RV, I sure hope you come to Florida along the way. Would love to meet you. I'd love to meet so many KT'ers.

Shirley, I think tilapia will be on our table tomorrow unless I can find something easier. (Not probable.) Are you warming up now?

Glenda, I'm so jealous--you took Mike and Nita to my favorite restaurant :-) Well, okay, I haven't eaten there, but they sure make a mean cornbread! The burgers both sound delish, but those fries must've been like a slice of heaven. How did you like Aldi's? I look at the flyer every week but they're clear in town and I'm not sure if they have "scooters" to ride. Harry has to have one in order to get around and help me shop.

Patti, to answer your question on are we warming up? Nope. It's supposed to get up to the mid 50s for Sat/Sun, then go back to being in low 40s on Monday.

We're having Mexican chicken with refried beans, guacamole and chips. It seems like a long week to only be Wed. I'm glad it's a short week and I have Fri. off.

I spent the morning finishing the book I was reading so I could return it to the friend who loaned it to me. then I went to the club to decorate the tables for the golf luncheon tomorrow. tomorrow is opening day and we will only play 9 holes because we play with the 9-holers on this day. Then we have a lovely luncheon so I won't be much interested in dinner tomorrow night. After we finished decorating the tables I had a short meeting with the banquet manager. Then, I headed downtown to meet some friends to go see Anna Karinana and we went out to dinner. Dinner for me was crab cakes and cole slaw. It was pretty good, not exceptional.

Patti, a friend gave me the recipe for "funeral sandwiches" and that's what she called them, too. She makes them and brings them to the house for whoever is having an after funeral gathering. I laugh when I see you referring to them as such, too. I'm sure they were delicious and know you had a wonderful visit with Nita.
