Probably crackers and cheese spread I just finished a Dairy Queen beef taco salad. anda caramel coffee mooulltteee (whatever they are called )

Sue, glad you were able to get out and about. I see Indpls. weather in our newspaper. Like to look since DB lives in Greensburg. We only got up to 49 today--or so the paper said. Just heard we should have 70 on Monday, though. Glenda--haha! Hope you enjoyed that tamale. I had a pork tamale a couple of years ago at a little bakery that sells other things on the side. It was homemade and pretty good. Raven, happy birthday to your DH and have a wonderful dinner. I think yours sounds delicious! Shirley, isn't it fun to read restaurant menus? Sure is hard to make up one's mind sometimes! Especially if I'm hungry!! You must be having meatless Friday tonight. We used to do Monday's. (But not every Monday.) Rhizo, I will be right there! Oh, I do love sausage gravy. Now I'll be dreaming about it!! Jasdip, a turkey breast really goes a long way, doesn't it? Okay by me, I love it. Nice dinner--does your cabbage soup have a lot of different veggies in it? Mine does. I use the recipe from the cabbage soup diet. Very yummy!

Oh, Patti, and here I was complaining about my overly busy day and how tired I was............and mine was nothing like yours. Rest well. Glenda, they opened a deli in my small town. I guess it's been there for a while, but I'd not heard of it. My 4 sisters and I went there today. They got chicken salad on a croissant, but I got a roast beef. You got a choice of potato salad or soup, and your choice of coffee, tea or pop. The sandwiches were all huge and none of us could eat more than half. I lucked out. I not only brought home my half sandwich but one of my sisters as well. So my evening meal was free. Shirley

Glenda, those darned love bugs drive me nuts! I noticed one on the car this afternoon. Hope you asked the Ashley Mac to put the spinach tart back on the menu. Did you have the sour cream biscuit?? Jasdip, do you have your heat on at night? Or just enjoy the coolness? We have the worst Chinese food around here. On the other side of town, there must be 5 gigantic Chinese buffets. Wish we had our favorite small Chinese place we had in Dunedin. Such fresh tasting food. Shirley, I'd be right over if I could taste right, darn it. That sounds so good. We're all eating egg salad, seems like. Hey, it's good to share meal ideas, right? Georgysmom, glad you played well today. See practice pays off!! When does the bathroojm makeover start?

I'm so glad you were able to eat a bit of food Patti! That's a great sight to see. We ate really late. I decided I wanted to have a pork picnic shoulder that was on sale for dinner. Boiled with potatoes. So we went to the store to get it and I boiled it for about 3 hours. Some potatoes went in the pot and some carrots later on. We just love ham that way. This is the second time I've done it, the first was with green beans. Hubby and I couldn't get enough tonite! :) I've got all this wonderful ham stock and we don't like a ham and pea type soup. But I'm planning to make cabbage soup tomorrow and I'm definitely going to be using some of the stock in that. I think it will taste great. Also I can see it as a base for potato soup for some yummy flavour. So I'd better be freezing the stock.

Haven't felt so great the past couple of days. Started coming down with a cold the day we left for vacation (March 9th) and am still trying to shake it. Went to Dr. on Tuesday and she gave me some medicine. The cough medicine knocks me out all day. Today I'm feeling better and spent the day in the kitchen making bread and butter pickles and some strawberry jam. Also made some creole sauce for the shrimp creole I've been planning on having all week. So tonight, shrimp creole.

Having leftovers. The chicken breasts I bought yesterday were huge. So I pounded 2 out, we halved one yesterday with the Chicken Parm. Tonite we're having the other one with leftover pasta from the other nite, and leftover potatoes from last nite.

Ah Minnie, I wish I had a couple of DQ chili dogs. I haven't had one for years, but they used to be really good.

Glenda, I love tamales. We have a restaurant here that makes them, but I was a little disappointed in them.

I'm so glad you're feeling better, Georgysmom. You have more than made up any cooking you didn't have to do on vacation all in one day today. Shrimp creole sounds yum!

I'm all out of leftovers, Jasdip. Ate them, froze them or dumped them. Making room for Easter stuff. Sure glad I have another frig in the garage.

I feel for you Georgysmom! I've been battling bronchitis all week. Still not over it 100% but it's a lot better (taking meds)

We were in Tucson this afternoon so we ate our dinner early. Went to Claim Jumpers and had a cup of clam chowder and then had a chicken pot pie that comes with a nice dish of fresh fruit. I couldn't eat much of the pot pie so it was brought home for tomorrows lunch.
