If you have a Briggs engine, they recommend that you use synthetic oil. Use 5w-30 below 30 degrees and 10w-30 above. I just keep 5w-30 synthetic oil in mine year round. Never have any problems and I start it once every couple of months and let it run for about 30 mins each time. I plug one of those halagon floor lights into it. Since I bought mine, I think we lost power once for about an hour. Before we bought the generator, we would loss power a few times a month.

thanks, guys. it is a looker, OOTM! i never thought i would be wooed by a faucet. but i have! i'm smitten. if there's any other first-hand feedback on waterstone, i'd really appreciate hearing it! but I think i'm going to have to go for this splurge. i really like it. and i think i'm stuck on my tapmaster thank you again

You know I think I'm going to buy a Geospring hybrid water heater instead of the electric water heater with the 5500 watt elements. I did a little more research last night and from what I read GE did a re-design of the Geospring and brought the manufacturing back to the US. Owner reviews say the re-designed model has been more reliable than the previous design. I still plan to get the 5 year, extended warranty to cover labor if something goes wrong. GE sold the manufacturing equipment for Geospring to Bradford White so Bradford White would handle manufacturer warranty issues. Bradford White confirmed that when I called them today. The expected annual cost of electricity for the Geospring was $162 where the expected cost of electricity used was $555 for the water heater with the 5500 watt elements. I should recover the cost difference for the more expensive Geospring water heater in 2-3 years and the savings should pay for the full cost of the Geospring in 4-5 years. I live in a state with a warm climate so that should help the efficiency and recovery time of the Geospring.

Thank you so much!!! We ended up ordering Seagrass two days ago and now seeing your picture I feel really good about our choice! Looks great with the brick, and your brick is almost identical to mine. I so appreciate you taking your time to answer and post a pic! 😊
