Thought you might like to see four generations

Left to right is me, DD who is perfectpets here on the KT, my grandmother, my mother. DD was probably about 2. Four peas in a pod, do you think?!

I agree with you, which the chart (“opened with the quick link”) at the bottom of the first long post basically list. Now that I remember, I found a review that stated “the new mower comes assembled and you just add the quart of oil that comes with the mower” which I doubt was a qt. My neighbor new mid grade mower came with a 15 oz bottle of oil. He and his Yardman un-boxed and added some of the oil vs verifying. It smoked so bad I knew something was wrong and ask them to stop and no oil was showing on the stick. I called Home Depot and was told to add the complete 15 oz bottle that came with the mower. We did and the stick checked full. I felt the excessive smoke that finally ended was from the bad positions they had the mower in while adding etc with some oil in it. Directions are not always clear “To Us”! Not to mention being in a hurry w/o looking at any instructions. The Donor Mowers have dried up in this area the last 2-3 yrs. You have to ask for what had been on the curb (after seeing them sit 2-3 yrs outside behind a storage area). The scrap dealers are in larger numbers ahead of the week of monthly City Bulk Pick-up. I still believe maintained residential used mowers vs commercial used mowers are not used an expected lifetime vs a lack of lack of care.

Thank you, all! I don't know what Dads secret is. He's 94, I'm 56 and he has twice as much hair.Actually, I blame it on the kids. He just had 2 boys who were both little angels, while I had a daughter and 4 boys who put me through the ringer. No, we didn't get a 4 generation pic, yet. When I do you'll see it. Thanks, again. Ron

I got mine at Kroger, I've never seen it anywhere else. I like that it's free of brighteners, and that the scent is light and more natural and clearly not made by P&G haha. I've only used it on clothing that didn't have stains or odors to begin with so I don't know how well it would do on stains or anything really dirty. I used their wipes when my youngest was a few days old, definately not impressed. They were so rough they made his little tushie bleed.

If you can save the finish, great! Refinishing is a terrible job. But having dealt with something that looks like that, I suspect that it will not cooperate and reamalgamate (which is a totally legit thing if you have the correct finish for it). It's certainly worth trying. Unfortunately, this style of furniture isn't very valuable but on the bright side, that means you can do what you need to do to find it a place in your home (please don't paint it). If it requires refinishing, so be it. I would stay faithful to the original stain as much as possible, not because it's a museum piece but because it just looks good. Even a little scruffy, it's still elegant. You don't HAVE to do anything.

Shirley, you are very correct on that! Grandma left us 20 March 1998. She was 89. DD was 5, and DS was not yet 2 when she passed.

You do all look alike, but your Mom and Grandmother are the closest.

They post these pictures in our local weekly and I just love seeing them. My parents were both the youngest in their families,married when they were older and I am the youngest child in my family so I missed out on even grandparents for the most part (my mother's mom died when I was about 4, the rest died before I was born). I had my kids in my late 30s. I never had the slightest chance to be in a photo like this! Thanks for sharing.

I agree with patti43, you & your mom look alot alike. Give you white hair or your mom dark hair! Lol! It is so special to have a picture like that. I no longer have my mom or my Grandma. Guess I'm the oldest now - that's scary!

You are all right that I am blessed to have this picture. DH is working afternoon shift this weekend. I have been spending that time going thru two big boxes of pictures from my aunt and scanning them. One box is finished except for those in frames and albums. When I finsih the ones in the frames, I'll get the other box sorted out and start with the loose ones in it. Those are the fastest for me to do. Before Christmas DH was scanning channels and ran accros either HSN or QVC selling a small photo scanner. He bought it, though we weren't sure of the quality. It probably doesn't scan at a high reselution, but I am happy with it. It only takes seconds to scan a pic! It will save it to a memory card or directly to the computer. I am using the flat bed scanner to do the ones too big for the little one, set at a reselution of 600 while I run the smaller ones thru the little scanner. I needed a break, so figured it was time to see what all of you are up to.

LOL Jem, if grandma was still around it would now be 4 out of 4 wearing them! Well, most of the time. DD only wears them when she absolutely has to. Only really needs them for one eye.

How special!! YOu all look so young!

DD's side of the family is quite young too. His grandmother and my mother are roughly the same age (Which THRILLS my mom) but I always take pictures since most kids will never get the chance to meet their GREAT grandmother!! I have a niece that is 13 so "technically" if she got pregnant in a couple years (God Forbid) we could have 6 generations! My oldest DD is 5 so let's not go there with her!
