What's for Supper On Tuesday?

I don't know if I am fixing supper yet or not. I have been gone all day for the most part and am tired. I was gone most of yesterday, these daughters keep me busy! :) It has been a pretty day here in central Indiana, nice and sunny. So what are your plans for your evening meal today?

I made up a small bowl of potato salad this morning and I'll bake some fish filets and have green beans. Dottie

We're having porcupines over mashed potatoes, asparagus and cinnamon apples.

I've been sealing and freezing ham, pork roast and prime rib in portion sizes and cleaning up from the kids' visit and had the meatballs in the freezer, so it's easy. Now my freezer's full again!

I've been doing all my cooking on Sunday for the week. I have Kiebasi with Beer & Onions or Deep Dish Taco Pizza for tonight. Whatever we don't have tonight, we'll have tomorrow. I froze the venison that we'll have Thursday (I usually freeze whatever we'll have on Thu since I don't want food sitting from Sun-Thu even though I'm pretty sure it would be fine). Last night we had grilled chicken since I took the chicken out of the freezer on Saturday and I didn't want that to sit around. I didn't cook that ahead of time since it takes very little time to cook on the Griddler. I'm thinking it will be Kiebasi with Beer & Onions, mashed potatoes and corn.

I'm so sorry to hear about your chickens. I know they were special to you. Keeping them safe and free range has it's challenges. I was out of kernel corn, couldn't make tamale pie. Was out of broccoli, couldn't make the quiche like I wanted. Ended up making sausage & beef meatballs because I had all the ingredients. I have sandwich rolls in the freezer. Now we have left overs. :0)

Yes, that sounds like our noodles, because we add baking powder to dumplings to give them some 'fluff', then drop by spoonfuls onto hot soup or stew (often bean soup, in my MIL's case, which I did not find appetizing.) The source I read said that rivals are pinched off and dropped into stock, which made me think of dumplings. We roll out noodles. My father's family had friends, of German descent, who called the extruded flour and egg mixture 'strudels' or maybe 'stroodles'--I don't know how they would have spelled it. He said they dropped the dough into boiling water and served it plain. He was always disappointed to be asked to dinner on the day it was served, because although his family was not well off, they always had meat stock for their noodles! ETA, I'd always seen 'strudel' presented as a German pastry.

Some chicken things from the trader joes freezer case, not that impressed. And I used the spiralizer I got for Christmas to make zucchini noodles. I sautéed them in butter, olive oil and garlic. I thought they looked really pretty and tasted good. Kids not impressed.

Chicken fried steak and gravy,mashed potatoes and green beans.I bought a couple of round roasts the other day on sale and am cutting off steaks from them.My back is killing me so I may change my mind before time to cook.LOL Also have some fresh strawberries that I sliced and sugared last night.Maybe strawberry shortcake for desert.

Hamburger gravy over nuked potato, peas, and steamed broccoli/cauliflower. I think I'd rather have had Dotmom's meal though.

I had a burrito and left-over baked butternut squash. That sounds pretty bad, doesn't it? Tasted good, though.

I found a good recipe in one of my WW cookbooks and fixed Italian shrimp over angel hair pasta. I always forget how long it takes to shell and clean shrimp. It was yummy and I have leftovers for another couple of meals.
