Dawn, I feel for you. And Growlery, as for you - when you get sick of repainting your own kitchen, come do mine!!! I'm in paint chip hell right now. I have a million chips from BM. Several little sample pots of paint. An increasing collection of the 18" square sheets that are way more convenient than the sample pots except when the wall you're looking to paint doesn't actually have 18" of space. (Just bought two more of those today... uh, the sheets or the pots? Well, I confess - two more of EACH! Different colors, though.) I considered all the colors you mentioned, as well as old stand-bys like Powell Buff & Monroe Bisque. Hated all of them. They were either too yellow or too green or too gray. I'm looking to paint my living room, too - not necessarily the same color as the kitchen, but it might turn out to be the same. Oh, and my bathroom. Having a heck of a time finding a paint color that will work with my tile and not turn my already-pale complexion some sickly shade at the same time. Anyway, my living room/kitchen contenders are currently Shaker Beige or Wheeling Neutral. These may be lighter than what you want. They're the really boring neutral shades that HGTV specializes in (and which I've been brainwashed into liking). In my defense, I'm going to do really colorful furnishings and accessories. Good luck, and please feel free to post photos!!!

I am definitely going to miss "Friends"!! Don't worry if you missed it on Thursday, the finale will be available on DVD Tuesday... weird! Anyway, I too am hopeful about the Joey show... usually spin-offs don't work, but Frasier did really well after Cheers, so it is possible! :) Anyway, Penny I hope that your shower was lovely and I'm sorry that you missed the end of Friends... we got lucky and decided to tell the TiVo to record an extra 5 minutes... good thing since we just barely got all of it that way! By the way, I'm pretty disappointed that Phoebe didn't marry Joey, but I guess they couldn't do that and have him have a spin-off! Oh, well... at least when she married Mike they didn't make it SEVEN Friends... -DuckyHead :)

Raven, I hope you are feeling better today! Have you tried eating a little yoghurt? My pharmacist always suggests that to help with stomach problems caused by antibiotics. It does seem to help a bit. Everyone's meals sound so good! My 'diet' is pretty limited due to Gout, Osteoarthritis, high blood pressure, and one kidney. So reading here about pot roast, ham, meat loaf, meat balls, tuna, etc., has me drooling all over my keyboard! :^) I 'cheated' on my main meal yesterday. Had a lot of errands to do yesterday, and I was really beat! So I picked up some hot wings on my last stop of the day at Walmart. I love hot wings! That, along with a bottle of Bolthouse Farms 'Green Goodness' was my supper last night. Rusty

We had record low temperatures down to 18 and 19 for a couple of days after we'd had record highs in the 80s 2 days before. Most of the roses were leafing out and many of them are definitely singled and lost some leaves but so far I don't see any that had been alive and are now dead. Some hardy roses were totally unfazed by that temperature AND the blizzard of 5 inches of snow two days ago. Sheesh. Talk about wild weather swings. For the most part roses are pretty adaptable particularly if they're in their preferred zones, but keep an eye on them for a few weeks till they start putting out new leaves. If the canes shrivel and dry up, cut them off and see if it'll regrow from the base. Cynthia
