I seldom watch television in the day time so I do not sit in front of it. Usually at my computer or the kitchen table.

I prefer sitting at the table. I don't like to eat in a vehicle either. If I get fast food I will either eat it there or bring it home.

I will sometimes eat a dessert or snack at the computer. But never knife and fork food.

I also picked up a nice habit from my DS. If I have something like a Lean Cuisine or other convenience food item I plate it. Tastes better and looks like more that way. Much more satisfying to the senses.

DH is the opposite. Even when he sits at a table he sits like he's about ready to jump up and flee. LOL

If I'm alone, I definitely eat in front of the computer. It's tricky to hold a book open, but the newspaper works pretty well when I do read at the table.

in general we both eat at fold up tables, sitting in our recliners in front of the tv. They are bigger than a regular tv tray and are adjustable in height, works well for us. The dining room only gets used when we have company. The breakfast table we rarely use to eat at.

We have a small table with two chair in the Forida room where the TV is. We just about always have dinner while Jeopardy is on.

Wildchild, you made me LOL describing your DH at dinner. I like your idea of plating a Lean Cuisine. If I ever have to eat alone, I think I'll be seeing a lot of LC's!

We only eat at the dining table when we have company, too.

I almost always eat at the table, usually with my book, iPad, or magazine propped up in front of me to read.

I sit at the table sometimes and sometimes I sit in the Florida room and watch t.v. Since I am by myself, I can do whatever works at the time.

When I lived alone I always ate at the table, and made a proper meal. Always read a book. I was never one to just make a sandwich and eat it at the counter.

DH and I sit at the table, on rare occasions do we eat in front of the tv. It has to be something real interesting that we want to see. Then it's like a treat to us.

I don't set a nice table though :( It always has stuff on it.

Occasionally we sit at the kitchen table or at the table out on the porch. Generally I bring DH's dinner up to him in front of the T.V. in his room, and I eat in front of the T.V. in my room. He has a FROG (family room over the garage) and I have the great room down stairs.

When I am alone I eat in front of the tv with a drooling dog staring me in the face. When DH is home we eat at the table with the same dog staring up at me lol. I never eat while on the computer.

I can see the TV from my dinningroom table so thats where I sit.

dh eats his breafast at the table, but we have a tv in there, lol...me? usually after he's gone and always in the lr...same for my lunch. dinner we're tv'traying, lol...when the kids were little we tabled and now they all do with their children...

Usually at the kitchen table - and we always light our candles even when it's just the 2 of us.

If I happen to be home alone for dinner I still eat at the kitchen table but I'll read the paper or magazine while eating.

Until now, my "dining table" was in line to the TV. Thus, I used to watch while I ate.

Right now, the table isn't put together yet. I plan to use it... as soon as I find the bolts. :)

However, I usually eat breakfast at the puter.

In front of the tv and also at the computer. DH eats his breakfast at the kitchen table. I usually have mine while checking KT. Dining Room table is only for company. It is a habit I wish we could break. But when I do try to set a nice table, DH will grab a book or magazine, so no conversations. I gave up.

At the table only if the meal has the potential to be messy if balanced on my lap. Otherwise, in front of the computer or (rarely) in front of the TV.

I can watch TV from my table so I prefer to eat there.

Either alone or with DH, I eat at the kitchen table. We eat late...6:30, and watch Wheel of Fortune and try to "beat" each other. So whether alone or with DH, this is my habit. Lunch I can eat on the go, but dinner has to be seated at a table even if it's a sandwich.

I eat at my kitchen island where I can spread papers out at lunch time and watch TV at dinner. It's built in over the refrigerator. Husband eats at the kitchen table which is one step away.

I eat solo meals at my kitchen table. I often have coffee or other drinks at the computer. I will snack anywhere!

I eat breakfast and lunch at the table, while I read. I made myself a stand for my reader and it makes it so much easier. Works for books, too.

I just read an article about women travelling alone. Said the best place for a single female to sit is at a bar, not at a table in a restaurant. At least you'll have the bartender to talk with. And they guys sitting on either sides of you.

I have breakfast and lunch alone, and I will either usually either eat in the kitchen or my room. I have a very big room, with a table in an alcove. Sometimes I do eat one of those meals in the dining room. Dinner is always eaten in the dining room, whether I'm alone or not. All fast foods or frozen foods are transferred to plates, and I usually warm the plates too. If I'm alone I usually have my iPad in front of me or I'm listening to my iPod.

Usually I walk into the dinningroom. It's surrounded by windows and I watch the birds. Also there's an iron bakers rack full of pretty house plans, orchids are blooming as the tables centerpiece, the sun is streaming through all the windows making it the warmest room in the house. :0)

I am rather surprised that so many people eat while watching tv,reading or doing other things. I would have thought it would be fewer than it is. I could see it for some meals but as a rule I like to concentrate on the meal or the company, even if the company is my own thoughts. ;-)

But at home I am never alone. Like m Matti I always have bystanders. Two drooling dogs. LOL

My elderly sweet neighbor passed on unexpectedly last month and now her husband is struggling to cook for himself; he eats at the kitchen table now, he told me. Previously, she always set two very proper places in the dining room, which I'd occasionally see when I'd come into their backyard for lemons, (with permission, of course.) It was the sweetest thing ever to see, with coffee cups and dessert plates to boot. It makes me want to cry to even think about it.

I always eat at the kitchen table.We have a ranch style home and have a dinette area(kitchen) and a full size dining room.So i sit at the kitchen(dinette)table and have the tv on in the dining room.It's mounted up on the wall in the dining room,so that makes it very nice.DH always has dinner at the kitchen table,but everything else he eats in his room.

I never eat in my car,nor do i allow anyone else to eat there,.
