painting kitchen table
Comments (1)I went to Sherwin williams to ask their advice for the same project. I had oak chairs with the shiny surface finish. I wanted them to be black. I was prepared for the sanding etc. He said I didn't need to sand. Just use the tinted primer he gave me and the black paint was "all surface enamel" acrylic latex satin. It worked great and for the next year or two that we had them they never chipped paint or anything. It was easier than sanding. Even tho it was labeled satin it had a slight sheen and that is what I would use again. You have to kinda be able to slide on and off the chair if you know what I mean....See MoreWhat do you think of painting a kitchen chair rust?
Comments (5)Hope the link helps - it is several images of Ben Moore Rust. Personally, since PB catalog images always seems to be a bit off color-wise, I'd have to wait until I had the table to see if the Rust goes well. And I don't know what your granite is... Here is a link that might be useful: Ben Moore 'Rust'...See MorePainting kitchen table and chairs from white to black
Comments (1)They should turn out well, if you sand well, and use a quality primer and quality cabinet paint on them, to get a bit harder finish. Since its a painted finish, if black goes better in your house, paint it. If you ever decide you dont like it, you can always sand it down, and repaint it back white....See MoreTrying to get rid of ugly brown colored kitchen chairs!
Comments (3)Um....they might be a candidate for a museum. Sorry, no offence but those chairs are really dated. They are likely from the 1970s or before. Your description of "ugly brown colored kitchen chairs" tells me they aren't your favourite. Why not get rid of them and choose some new ( or used from Kijiji or Facebook Marketplace). If you only need two then it won't be a big outlay of $$. Even Ikea has some nice comfortable dining chairs that are attractive and well priced....See Morepeytonroad
