I was confused at first, til I saw "nesting material". Cool idea! I have lots of spiderwebs around, so I don't think I need to move any. But I have to admit, that is REALLY thinking about your hummers!!! I suspect it is VERY hard to "move" spiderwebs (they are really sticky of course). But I look forward to hearing about how well it works. If I may make a suggestion... The only hummer nests I have ever found in the yard were in small cedar trees. If you can move a spider web, you might as well deposit them on those (or of course anywhere you think they might nest).

Hello, I also rescued a hummingbird from a spiderweb. The hummingbird was webbed as if it was in a straight jacket.I hurried into my house, and poured some nector in a small plate . I dipped his tiny little beak in the nectar and then I knew he was alive , his little tongue lapped up the nector. Then I proceeded to pick off the web, and alternate feeding him. I thought I got most of the web off,so I took him outside on my patio table. I still continued to dip his beak in the nector. I think I was as frightened as he was. I could feel his heartbeat in my hand. I finally got all the web off, and he tried to fly , but went right to the ground. I picked him up, and he perched on my finger I fed him some more . It was amazing he took flight up into the trees. It was the most amazing thing that's ever happened to me. I was still worried about him, and the next morning I swear i saw him at my window feeder. I think he was saying thanks.

Are you sure it just doesn't need to be leveled with weight evenly distributed on all feet? Personally I would call and find out how much someone charges to come out and tell you what is wrong. Once you find out exactly the problem then you can make your decision as to what you want to do next.

Thanks YaYa--I appreciate your eforts! I tried every combo of search terms I could come up with and tried to recreate the search that originally lead me there and no luck. I found it through a google image search the first time. It doesn't help that different regions label the architecture differently so I had gone through split level, split entry, split foyer, bi-level, etc. Apparently no one with an inclination toward decorating buys this style of house (I understand why)and any little nuggets I find are treasures to me because they are so rare!
