Did anyone notice the little girl next to Bud? Remember Linsey, the baby with the heart surgeries that doctors said would not survive? She got lots of prayers and good wishes from the forum and sure enough, there she is!

Silvia, the baby will remember too, because she's already baking with me, just like her two older cousins. she washes the kale so I can get it in the pressure canner:

Bud looks like he can't wait to attack something, but I might be reading something into his expression. Everyone looks extremely healthy, happy, and well-adjusted - what more could you ask for? And they are beautiful too. I can see how you are motivated to accomplish as much as you do, since you have an appreciative family.

Yes, my babies are all grown up and have babies. Every one of them has had a place on that counter in their footie pajamas. Now the place is Madison's.

Lars, Bud was wanting to attack something. He'd blown out his candles and his sister just wasn't moving fast enough. He wanted cake and he wanted it NOW. He's not good at delayed gratification, probably something about being a 7 year old boy, LOL.

Your daughters and grandies are all gorgeous! I live in hope (sigh)....

Annie, I think it more like being seven than being a boy. There is a video of my sister's 7th birthday where she and I (at age 5) are sitting outside drinking pretend tea, and I am waiting patiently for her to serve me, her guest, a piece of cake. Instead, she merely cut the cake and shoved the piece in her mouth without even using a fork or a plate! My face then immediately registered extreme shock for her lack of manners, and so she offered the piece of cake that she bit from to me, but I refused it! I was waiting to be served properly and had no intention of taking a bite of cake until it was on my plate and both of us had been served. I also remember as a child not wanting to cut birthday cake because it was going to ruin the decoration, and I wanted just to look at it as long as possible. I have pictures of me looking at birthday cakes where it is easy to see that I am in no hurry to cut them. My sister was like Bud, however, and so it goes across gender! I was extremely formal as a child - my sister not so much. She also opened my birthday presents if I didn't open them quickly enough, and I have pictures and videos of that as well. I hope Makayla is taking enough videos of her children, as they will appreciate it in the future.

For some reason, it is easier for me to imagine Bud being seven than Makayla being 30!

Oh dear, Lars, don't even say it. Makayla is only nine, AMANDA is 30. We all know how old that makes me. (sigh)

I was an impatient child too, my brother was more mellow. Amanda is the patient and mellow one of my girls, Ashley is much more like me, but since they are both girls I have no comparison.

Bud is really more impatient when it comes to food, though. He's hungry all the time, unlike his sister, but he's so active that I guess he just runs it off.

Colleen, I know, it happened fast. I keep hoping for you!
