Thank you all once again for kind thoughts and encouragement. saintpfla ~ Dabbling in photography is fun that is for sure. I've taken a few night shots too with old camera and look forward to trying it with this one. The macro with this camera is 150 cm (W) (0.4 in.Â1.6 ft. (W)). I was right down on the flowers. There is a lot to read in these manuals, I just plod along and practice. It's a learning experience and a fun one at that. treefrog ~ I've also tried to capture the color of the blue sage with old camera and never could. There are a couple of roses I had the same trouble with, so I hope they come out truer with this new camera as the blue sage did. Evelyn ~ You are so right about picture taking being addicting, almost as addicting as some flowers are. : -) Ambersky ~ I looked up what you thought the purple unknown might be and I'm not sure. Someone else told me something else and that didn't quite look right either. I'll try to get out tomorrow to take a picture of leaves and flowers so you all can see the whole thing. You could be right though. Nancy ~ It is a long time isn't it? I think of you everytime I'm around the two roses you gave me, Smith's Parrish, and I think the name of the other one is Old Blush, which is in the main garden and doing terrific. Thank you again for giving them to me. It was nice meeting you also and having a little visit at 2Jay's. I've worked at my job yesterday and again today, so haven't been out to take more pictures. I'm off tomorrow so maybe I can get out to shoot some more then. Thanks again for encouraging me to get out and take more pictures. I always enjoy seeing everyone's beautiful gardens and flowers. I get inspired to get out and work in my tropical/cottage gardens. FlowerLady

Thanks, Bellsmom! I wish I could do that myself. I have MBR pics, but they're espresso maple in a dark bathroom. They're also a neat combination of cabs. :) And everyone for the compliments! I'm really happy with how they're coming out. It might take me forever to paint or stain, but in the meanwhile everything's going in them instead of boxes piled against the wall. I actually find the skinny, 4-drawer drawers useless. That's why I originally ordered 3-drawer. My plan, someday, is to do what I did with the (extra) cabinets in my MBR. I took out two drawers and one set of drawer glides. I cut out the face frame and put in a single deep drawer. Like the big ones on the 3-drawer. Then, I attached the drawer fronts back onto the big drawer so it looks just like it started. Deeper drawer are much more functional than 2.5" deep drawers. Now I can put stuff actually in them. With 18" cabinets, the drawers can only be 15" deep. Need all the space I can!

Darn...I was looking forward to some pictures of the new windows and I'm sure you were looking forward to taking them! As for the Freedom, if you can believe this...it's a FREE cruise. My husband doesn't agree (LOL) because he earned it for being numero uno salesperson at work. We were able to book a wrap around balcony on deck 7. Don't know the name of the deck. I've always wanted to try a wrap around and I'm so excited about it! It's an 8 day cruise so I'll be able to spend lots of time on that balcony and trust me...I will! Still can't wait to see pics of your new windows. I'm sure they will be so awesome, Glenda! Eileen

KSWL, Yes, so you know the Wall Street mentality. It is understandable though when 95% of your pay is "bonus" and usually the bonuses are pretty subjective at the individual level. In any given year they can be zero or a heck of a lot. Yes, it keeps you tethered (as does the form of the payout, a good bit of it stock). SueB, What serendipity! Thats more fun than one more Christmas present, no? Tell 'em to hide some more! Running, DH got me studs for mother's day a few years ago, and it occurs to me they may be (may be?) the one thing that truly never goes out of style! Sounds like you deserve 'em! Outside, Too funny! A shotgun! But sweet that he knew exactly what you wanted. : ) Tina, I love to send and recieve flowers, but I am very particular about quality/design. ONe year at work I received three different bouquets of roses. ONe was from Dad and two were from love interests. That caused a stir, and I never said a word, LOL. I like your reply. I retired a few years ago, for about a year. Then an exboss recruited me to his new firm. I say I work "one day a week" now; i go into our office 1 day, but I also do some work from home. Once in a while I travel. It is perfect for me. I have to say, I do not recommend flat out retirement at all,and I hope to do this forever.
