Well, Annie, if the time on the treadmill and the doc's comments are any indication, I'd say you are gonna be just fine.

Oh, and if I were visiting I would have preferred the wine over clean carpet and floor! LOL

Annie, At this point no news is good news IMO! Don't forget that you have your mom's genetics too, not just your dad's. (I don't know if that helps, but I'm just pointing out there are two sides to the equation.) I hear you about your knees, and thought about you when I got on my own treadmill this morning. My knees are giving me fits too these days. If it's not one thang, it's another....

Geez! That would've done me in!! I agree...if it was something REALLY worrisome, you'd have been sent somewhere right away. But the waiting part is the worst. Ugh! I hope it's good news. Oh, and I'd vote for excessive wine over clean floors, too!

You sound just fine. Good news. Aches and pains sometimes come along with hormone changes as we age less gracefully than we wish. We are exactly the same age as I recall.

If you were making the doctor laugh because he couldn't get your heart rate going, that is good news. I will check in for the official news on Tuesday and keep up the good thoughts, but it sounds good so far.

I'm glad the treadmill went well and hope you get a good report from the cardiologist.

I was almost through with my treadmill test, when the doc leaned his arm on the control panel and accidentally interrupted the test. We all had to wait while my heart rate returned to normal so we could start over. He was very apologetic, lol.

He did tell you everything looked pretty good from the pics, if there were any concerns he would have referred you right away. I had to have a nuclear stress test because of palps a couple years ago and the doc told me everything looked good, but the pics had to go to the cardiologist for evaluation. And everything WAS fine, so I bet your heart is perfectly healthy too.

Annie, it's good to hear you're back and that, so far, things look and sound good. Waiting for results is lousy, but I'll (& I'm sure dozens of others will) continue sending good thoughts your way.

Yeah, the waiting between the test and getting the results is the worst. BUT, it sounds like you aced the test! Sounds like all the good thoughts sent your way are working!!

Annie, I'm so glad to hear the test went well. But I'm not surprised. Anyone who can build fence and wrestle uncooperative steers wouldn't be fazed by a little old treadmill!

Annie I had to go searching to see what was up. I'm sorry you are going through this but glad to hear that you made it through the tests well. I'm hoping you are feeling much better soon. I truly enjoy your posts and reading about all the activity in your life. As hard as it may be for you, let your husband, kids and others care for you for a while!:)

Good point, Michael. Grandpa used to tell me that as long as you could lie on the floor and not fall off, you hadn't been drinking too much!

Good job Annie! I usually go between 11 and 12 minutes...I refuse to stop when they see the heart rate they want I always want to prove I can do better.....who me a first born! LOL.

Of all the heart tests I've had to take, I hate that one the most. It's not the treadmill I can do that in a heartbeat ( hahaha, hearbeat!!) it's that damn IV and then laying on that stupid skinny steel bed while the camera does it's thing. When I have mine my cardiologist is in the room so he reads all the results and talks to me right there.

The good news is that last time he said I didn't have to come back for 2 years.....the bad news is two years is up this Nov 25th...I hate that damn test!

Enjoy your weekend with the "girls" and give them both big hugs from me....promise I will sip a little wine in their honour.

Sharon, I was thinking about you as I was lying there on that skinny little metal bed, coughing my fool head off because they made me lie flat. The test wasn't so bad, it was the waiting.

Oh, the IV isn't fun either and I checked last night to see if I was glowing in the dark.....

OK, and now you've done it, I'm going to have to see how long I can go on the treadmill the next time, if I ever have to have another one!

Sip an extra bit of wine for me, will ya? It's good for your heart....

If I have another stress test, I will have to leave strict instruction NOT to leave a message at home (they should have called my cell phone, they HAD the number). I had a stress test. The nurses told me it would be about a week before I heard, unless there was a problem.
That night, after work, after 5pm when the doc's offices close, there was a message on my phone that I was to see the Dr. the next morning at 8:30. Well, needless to say, I didn't sleep very well. Scared to death!
Got in there, my BP was outrageous, of course...
Turns out the DOC was going on VACATION and just wanted to close out his cases... My heart was fine. Talk about GIVING someone a heart attack!

I told the front desk NEVER to leave someone a message like that after they've had a stress test or at least TELL the patient the doc is going on vacation and wants to close out his cases! Jeepers!

Annie, I'm so glad to read your news and so very impressed at how well you did on the stress test. Eleven months after my heart surgery, with cardiac rehab three times a week, I can't even imagine doing what you did. Yep, it's the fence mending, farming, canning, grandkid corralling and everything else you do that keeps you healthy.

I'll be waiting for the rest of your good news from Boy Wonder.

And, Junelynn, I would have been furious too at that message when there was no crisis for you.

Annie, sounds like you're healthy. I hope they don't put you on all kinds of meds - I hate that - anyone over a certain age in America is on prescription meds, arrrrggghhhhh.

I also hate that my doc and dentist are both younger than me - Boy Wonder indeed - when did this happen?! LOL!
