I love that quilt set and almost bought something similar for our son when he outgrew the toddler look. We ended up with tan walls in our son's room, which I think could work with the bedding that you've chosen as well. Just a thought...

Looks like there's also a steel blue/gray in there, which could be a very nice color on the wall, more big-boy than baby blue.

I think a neutral would work well with the quilt and for a guys room!

Our boys have similar quilts and we did BM Davenport Tan. It's a deep brown.

Forgot to mention the specific color we used. It's SW Basket Beige. Not that it will necessarily go with the quilt that you've chosen, but we went with tan so that it would grow with him for many more years.

What is his favorite color? It is his room, after all. I would at least pick out color swatches in blues, greens and tans that you could live with (and orange for an accent wall, but that is just me) and give him the final choice.

I agree, a tan or khaki color (not a green khaki but more of a tan/camel khaki)

Hi! Les has a great suggestion, and I was in a similar situation not long ago. I purchased PB quilts (similar pattern as yours) for both my boys (ages 6 and 13 at the time) when we moved into our new construction. The walls were not yet painted, and I let them choose the colors. I gave them some general options, i.e. blue, green, tan, etc., and they both wanted blue rooms. I picked a matching slightly different blue for each of them. Now, I should mention that the blue colors don't exactly "go" with the rest of our decor in the house, as we used warm colors everywhere, but so what? They are only kids for a while, and what a neat way to let them be involved in making their spaces their own. The samples above are some great options.

It will look good with many colors as lukkiirish has shown us. Maybe show those photos to your son and see what colors he likes as a starting point.

My decorator told me about a boy's room he did with a red ceiling. That's the first thing that came to my mind.

His favorite color is red, but I am not willing to go there for a wall color! The furniture in his room is PBK Sun Valley honey finish. He is a LEGO fanatic, but I am leaning towards decorating the playroom with a LEGO theme and keeping his bedroom more neutral and not so stimulating :)
