Help what is wrong with my camera

I have a Olympus C-765 digital.

It's a little over a year old. This spot is showing up in the viewfinder, on the LCD, and in the pictures. Anybody have a clue what is going on. I have cleaned the lens and nothing appears to be on it.

Maybe it's on your picture card. Try a new picture card and see.

Your irises look great! What I see is a little leaf spot.. Not a lot and not enough to worry about. Just take your clippers and cut back the fans that have the spots if you want to. . Leaf spot lives in the soil.. Hot wet humid conditions is what brings it on.. It will not hurt your irises it will just make them ugly.. The outer leaves also usually brown and die back this time of year as well.. You can treat with a fungicide but its not necessary.

To add to Stefan's comments: Keep pot with plants out of cachepot - water could be sitting in it and reabsorb, keeping it too soggy. It would help if you used better draining mix (Stefan suggested coarse sand - make sure it is coarse. It needs to be big enough that it will not fall thru ordinary kitchen sifter) - succulents do not need very organic soil, and usually suffer in it from overwatering. See excellent proof IN THIS THREAD - very healthy succulents growing without soil. Those are outside, but mix could be replicated for any pot.

Cas Li, Yours is not a maculata but rather a hybrid with maculata in its parentage. The leaf is too wide for its length IMO. Try looking at Flamingo Queen which is a dramatic hybrid from maculata and so many other wonderful hybrids with maculata in it. Go to the International Database of Begonias and do an advanced find. Put in maculata as one of the parents and do a search. This database is a bit fussy so if you do the next page of results, then use the next at the bottom of the page. Do not use the next button at the top of the page. If you want to see each match (make sure it is a cane type) then right mouse click and do an open in a new window or tab. If you left mouse click on any link it will take you there but the back button will get an error and you will have to start again. http://ibegonias.filemakerstudio.com.au/index.php?-link=Home Some hybrids that I've had are Amelia, Matchmaker, Texas Lone Star, and many more. They all have the same genetic flaw though - mildew prone. I also questioned size of pot in my original post, but didn't say that you should use smaller one. Karen is right. If you find that plan is tipping pt over, you can place a larger rock or 2 on top of the mix. I use large rocks to support newly repotted plants, but they can be good counterweights too. Or use pot that is not so deep but wider at the base, so it is more stable. Terracotta/clay pots are also more stable, because they are heavy. I use mostly plastic for that reason. I also mentioned that I would cut of leaves that are mushy - didn't say that you should since I really can't see the mushines in your photo. I keep succulents in smaller pots. Not because "they like it" as some ppl suggest, but for lack of space. If plant gets too big, I rather divide it and give away some. The reason I do not grow Aloe vera - it's leaves grow quite long... I know that pp used put some rocks or pieces of broken terracotta pots over drainage hole to prevent mix from falling out. Use piece of window screen or any other mesh with small openings. Or even piece of landscape fabric (it lets water thru), or coffee filter. Even piece of newspaper will work, but it will decompose.

Bump????
I can see a speck of something on the other side of the lens if I hold the camera just so in the light. Anyone know if I can clean this??? Camera is out of warranty.

I'm sure the spot is being caused by a speck of dust on the other side of the lens. Has anyone ever taken a digital zoom camera apart???
I've tried the vacuum cleaner, no luck.
I 'm wondering if a deionizer might make it fall away.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated. No one cleans cameras around here. Local camera shop said $100+ to send it away. Thanks!

If it was me and had another camera in hand i'd probably try it (I'm a curious person)...but I've never taken a digital one apart...several years ago I did a 110, touched the place where it said you could get shocked and now as I'm talking about it ... laughing...as I said outloud 'Shock is that for real"...Well I got shocked...So if you do take apart watch out for that shocking area...

I looked up your camera and I wouldn't advise taking it apart. Take it to a professional to have it cleaned. You just have to weigh the money...100.00 for repair vs 350.00 or more for a new camera. If you really like it then it's worth having it cleaned. And BTW, most camera shops send them out and expect to wait a good bit of time. My Minolta 400si took 3 months to get back. it was worth the wait.
