Help my banana trees leaves what’s wrong

Hello everyone this is my problem i order my trees online when I got them on 4/9/18 Monday they were a litte bang up I guess from three weeks in transit on the 4/10/18 Tuesday I transplanted them on a 6” pot for soil I am using cactus and palm soil I added 5-5-5 fertilizer on top of soil mix with soil and water on 4/11/18 wensday it’s was getting greener and the leaves from the center started to emerge and also Thursday too growing really fast and nice Friday 4/13/18 it was a hot day I Decided to take them outside to get full sun but in the afternoon I noticed it was like 99° outside I decide to bring them inside and that’s when I noticed that the leaves were wrinkle some yellow spots and some brown spots so my question is do they have sunburn or the soil is not the right soil not enough Fertilizer I am watering it every two days by checking the moisture level Also the pH is closer to the 7 How can I bring the pH down any advice and what I’m doing wrong and how can I bring my baby back to life to grow healthy thanks in a Vance to everyone

where do you live?..a warm climate?..if so any ground outside where you could plant it?..I think your container is too small..I would leave the damaged leaves and remove them when you get more new leaves..in the meantime the damaged leaves make food for the plant..I used Milorganite last year on my bananas..2 were new..the one closest to the top of the pic was a year old..
you know the more I look at your pic..could it be a canna?

Hello Nicole thanks for your response I live in New Jersey And this winter doesn’t want to leave we are in April and the weather is still in the 40 the only day that it was nice was last Friday I have them in my dining room table we’re the sun hits a few hours a day but I am confused because I don’t know if I put to much fertilizer on it or it needs more I only add water when the moisture meter is between moist and dry so it around every two days I hope I did not hurt the roots when I check the moisture on the soil with the two sticks that are in the middle of the meter almost all the leaves including the new ones cumin out the tips are brown I don’t know what to do can you tell me if you can how to measure how much fertilizer to add on a 6” pot once the weather gets nice I will plant on the ground I got two musa rajoo and one tiny tiny and buy the water your banana tree are looking great can you tell me what fertilizer number are you using I am used 5-5-5 thanks again for all your help

I've often left these 2 explanations on this forum about questions that come up about the 2 following features of Ficus leaf anatomy. Ficus Anatomy Foliar glands in the inferior leaf surface at the leaf to petiole (leaf stem) transition are a normal part of Ficus anatomy, and so far, their purpose is not fully understood. They used to be referred to as 'wax' glands, and occur in a high % of the plants in the Moraceae family, including mulberry. Newer literature refers to the gland as a phenolic gland, because of the heavy deposits of phenolic compounds in the glandular region. Any exudates (oozings) that originate in the near vicinity of the gland are probably latex or residuals from same and not related to the gland itself. Ficus leaves often have other semi-regularly spaced white dots, which vary in salience, inside and roughly parallel to leaf margins and often misidentified as pests or glands. They are lithocysts, enlarged cells that contain crystals of calcium carbonate or calcium oxylate called cystoliths, and are another normal part of Ficus anatomy. Al

The only information you have given us is 'they are the exact same tree' and that may be true but subtle differences in location can change variables in these cases. A boulevard tree, for instance may get some salt from snow plowing. A tree close to other trees will not get as much sun as others in the open. That's why you might see some trees already past peak with fall colors while others that are the exact same species still have green leaves. This year in my country, color change has been scattered with spotty frost pockets and strong winds. Some years everything seems to change at the same time, some years not so much.

i cant tell if you fert your lawn ... but generally ..... an established tree does not usually need any more fert than what its roots under the lawn can provide ... that said.. production citrus is way out of my ballpark .... and i wouldnt be surprised if it needed constant juicing to perform to expectations... see what i did there.. lol ... find your COUNTY Ag or extension office... it would be beyond belief.. that they cant help you with citrus growing in FL ... dont you think ... they might recommend you start with a soil test.. as a starting point to a fertilizer regimen ... ken ps: i you previously had a bug issue.. and solved it ... you do not have to treat for said problem for the rest of the trees life ... and it is highly recommended that you only treat when you actually find something to treat ... lets hope here.. all your problems are nutrient related ...

Watering from the bottom ensures all the dissolved solids in tapwater and fertilizer solutions remain in the grow medium. It can also upset the balance (ratio) of nutrients, one to the others, such that an excess of 1 nutrient makes it hard for the plant to take up enough of another nutrient (called an antagonistic deficiency). A level of dissolved solids (salts) in the soil that is too high, makes it difficult for the plant to move water to all of its parts with normal efficiency. Too, it's best to water slowly from the top, using enough water to fully saturate the soil and allow at least 20% of the total volume of water applied to exit the drain hole, which helps to flush any accumulating salts from the grow medium. The plant is definitely in want of more light. If you have a brighter spot you can acclimate it to over the course of a week to 10 days, it would provide a significantly greater opportunity for your plant to realize a larger measure of its potential, bestowed by Mother Nature. How do you determine when it's time to water the plant? Have you been fertilizing regularly? Nutrients are the building blocks plants use to grow and keep their systems orderly, so it's important when growing in containers that the grower shoulders responsibility for ensuring appropriate nutritional supplementation. the edges of your leaves are probably brown because the humidity is low inside the house..but I'm sure that you know it's way too cold to take your plant outside..I've never had a banana in a pot so I don't have any experience about watering..I would just touch the top of the soil and decide if it's dry and needs water..the fertilizer I used has numbers of 6-4-0..I tried Milorganite because someone on Gardenweb liked it..it's slow release which I think is good..I think it will take off when it's planted outside and gets sun and rain..

I would not water it until you see new growth. Once you notice growth usually watering once every 5 days or so. It's best to leave it one spot until you can take it outside for good as to not damage the leaves with temp difference. It looks like it is or was choking, Do you know what type it is?
