So, I had the COT in the wall pot for about 4 months, but recently moved them into my succulent dish to make it look better and to kinda keep all my succulents in one place. It's basically in the exact same exposure as it was here on the wall, but with a little more direct sunlight as the windows are longer and not obstructed by a roof. So thus again, I have an empty wall pot on the wall. I've tried looking for the other species suggested but found none of those. I guess I've miss judged the sunlight that enters my window as during the summer, almost no direct light enters my room while in late summer/fall/winter/spring, The wall pot plant would get full sun. I was thinking of moving it so it would allow me to plant a peacelily or other in there, but then I'd have a hole in the wall. So now I'm looking again. Are there any other types of plants beside succulents and Cacti that could go well here? The plant has to be a up grower and not trailing as of it were to trail it would trail directly below my window which gradually reduces the light levels. I'd put a sago Palm in it, but the top portion of the pot doesn't seem like a sago with its bulbous base could fit in there.

Based on my experience growing in pots, since you are in zone 9, sandwiched between a building and a parking lot I would get the kind of potting soil with the moisture "crystals" sometimes called soilmoist, which are little nubs of a polymer that absorbs a lot of water and keeps the pots from drying out as quickly. I've had pots that needed watering a couple of times a day before I started using it when situated in a lot of sun. Plan on watering every afternoon when you get home as well as checking the soil in the morning for moisture. Using the largest pots you can fit will help keep moisture more even, and plastic or glazed ceramic is better than something breathable like terra cotta. Some folks have mentioned having pots stolen, so if that might be an issue, use heavy pots (larger are more difficult to remove) or use a cable lock to fasten them to something unmovable nearby. A narrow raised bed might help both with the theft issue and the moisture control. Be sure that the studs you fasten your trellis to (either cord or fencing should work well) are strong enough to support the weight of the plants as well as the resistance of the plants when it is windy. There will be suggestions for spacing on the package, and doing a zigzag pattern or a pair of offset rows rather than a single straight line may give you better coverage if you can fit in more plants that way. There are other annual vines (or tender perennial vines that you may find hardy enough) that are options as well if you want some variety.

Well, they'll probably climb up on the bench! If it's mostly daytime privacy needed there, you could also look at reflective film. It will block the view inside as long as it's brighter outside than inside. So at night, if you have lights on inside, people can see through it on the outside. If you have a bright porch light, it might provide some reflection, even at night. Here's a window similar to yours with the frosted film only on the bottom panes. Reflective film would be less noticeable.
