What to do with Bottom Round Roast

I bought this on sale. I don't really need this as a roast, as there are only two of us home right now. Unless it can be cooked rare, which is the only way I like a roast. I have a sort-of memory that this cut is to be cooked for a long time, though.

If not prepared as a roast, what else can I do with it? Is it suitable for cutting into small pieces for a stir fry or for fajitas? Or, if it needs longer cooking, for beef stew?
