I have a 'WOOT' ? please.............

I have never bought anything from them...have wanted to just have never followed thru. Yesterday they had "MY" dyson on there it was refurbished as I noticed several of the things I would like to buy are. Have you purchased a refurbished item from them? How is it do they come with a warranty etc?? Thanks Stacy

I've purchased several different things from Woot, but they've all been new. If you read the full description of the items offered, if there is a warranty it will always be stated as to the duration, and who provides the warranty. For example, today's Woot is a (new) Kodak EasyShare 5100 All in One Printer, Scanner and Copier (for $49.99 -- but it's already sold out). In the Product Info section it shows "Warranty: One Year Kodak" -- so there is a one-year warranty and any claims/service, etc., through the warranty would be made with Kodak, not Woot.

My friend has bought a few refurb things off Woot and they have all gone bad. I know that's not the norm, but his experience has scared me about their refurb stuff. I mostly buy the shirts and wine though.

You may now have a "cafeteria" plan. A cafeteria plan is a separate written plan maintained by an employer for employees that meets the specific requirements of and regulations of section 125 of the Internal Revenue Code. It provides participants an opportunity to receive certain benefits on a pretax basis. A section 125 plan is the only means by which an employer can offer employees a choice between taxable and nontaxable benefits without the choice causing the benefits to become taxable. A plan offering only a choice between taxable benefits is not a section 125 plan.

Katlan yes there is a time period of protection for them, I don't recall right off what it is. You can also purchase the square trade 1 year protection plan for it. If you click on one of the tablets, I clicked on the red Asus, you can read more about it and will see the offer by square trade. I see that one also comes with a 90 day warranty from Asus. They have good support. When I bought my first tablet I thought it would be just a new plaything. Now today with the tablet I have, I would be very upset if I didn't have it. I use it every single day and night. I find I am rarely on my computers. Which for me is great. At my computer I am in my wheelchair, using my tablet I can be extremely comfortable in my recliner, couch, chairs, bed. So I love that aspect too, it easily goes anywhere. And unlike my laptop I don't have to worry about it over heating and keeping the vents on the bottom open by using a flat surface. A tablet doesn't have those issues. I thought it would be a plaything, but it has become a very integral important part of my life. About the funny things that are on woot, you just have to know woot, they have always been silly like that, but I order from them often and never been disappointed. I have Firefox and just set it up - easy as pie! (mmmm pie - can you tell I'm hungry for dinner? lol 8 mins left) Just type in www.igoogle.com and it literally walks you thru the rest. I have a gmail account so was able to save my settings, but it didn't ask me for that info so I'm assuming that you don't need gmail, in case you don't have it (see? I'm rambling too, I ramble when I'm hungry). Hope that helps :-) april

I've never bought anything from WOOT, but have bought many refurbished things from other places. We've always had good luck with the items..they may have had a few cosmetic blemishes...but worked great.

The current Wine.Woot is a cabernet sauvignon made from grapes grown on Mt. Veeder in the Napa Valley. I'm not familiar with the wine on Wine.Woot, but a friend of ours, Peter Franus, is a winemaker (FranusWine.com); and he makes a Zinfandel from grapes grown in the Brandlin vineyard on Mt. Veeder, and it is a WONDERFUL Zin!

Thanks for the wine to try lindsey.....I will look for his in stores....I hope I can find it...because they are not allowed to ship to OK....dang ok laws....Stacy

Stacy, you won't find Peter's wine in grocery store wine sections. You'd have to go to a wine store. Peter is allowed to ship wines to California and the following states: AK, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IA, LA, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NM, NH, NV, NY, OH, OR, TX, VA, WA, WI, WV, and WY. If you know anyone in any of those states who could take delivery for you... :-)

Wonder how long we will stay in Mo? I see he can ship there...LOL OK doesn't have wine or liquor in grocery stores...but there is a super wine store we go to on the way to MO the way is longer but I bet I can get brian to go back that way sunday it is our long way but so pretty...we will see!!
