Bad mood!

I must be in a horrible mood today. Even after 3 days away from home (St. Augustine) but I'll post pictures from that on another post.

Everything seems to be bothering me today. Mother griping at me that SIL "yelled at her" because she didn't use her walker. I don't doubt that she did but if my mother used it more... like we have asked a thousand times!

Co-worked booking a meeting for 9:00 am. I can't get to work by 8:45 am to prepare for said meeting. It's just not possible with my other responsibilities. Too bad. Called on the way in - meeting rescheduled for Wednesday at 10.

Another co-worker out "sick". Stayed home with sick kid. Wonder what the stay-at-home Mom is doing? He's done NOTHING to help with the team duties in weeks. Leaves his desk for extended periods of time and is supposedly paid hourly. Betcha he doesn't clock out.

Boss keeps sending me stuff to do that are clearly other co-worker's duties. Or perhaps he could do them himself. What a novel idea! Considering that I'm not his secretary...

Third co-worked gets pissy even in meetings and first co-worker sends me an email telling me that how I deal with third co-worker makes him extremely uncomfortable. Sounds like he's preparing to go to boss/HR to complain about a hostile work environment. Why not go to third co-worked and deal with the situation directly instead of acting like a child?

Gave director a cute "gag" gift for her birthday last week. She hasn't even acknowledged it. Maybe she has no sense of humor?

Friend/travel companion pissed me off yesterday. I wanted to leave St. Augustine no later than 1 - it was her original idea. She wanted to do this... then that... then the other... finally got on the road at 2:30. I had obligations back home, but she didn't bother considering those - and yes, she knew about them.

Grr. Grr. Grr.

Maybe I ought to go back to bed.

We had one flower at the Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoam City in September. Gorgeous plants! However, I'm an amorphophallus fanatic. I can't wait to plant my A. konjac this spring. The odor doesn't last but for a few hours, and the plant is, in its habitat, pollinated by flies or carrion beetles. If you've ever grown voodoo lily, they are pretty odiferous, as well. Cool, huh? Hello khandi...I have raised a 33 SD, a 20 year old biodaughter, am in the process of raising a 16 year old son and a 10 year old SD. Just thought I'd let you know where I'm at and where I've been. I think the teenage years are something that can be pretty rocky for most kids/parents. You have to know when to give in a little and when to stand your ground. Each child is different and has their own set of special circumstances that make them unique. Since you have been through counseling with you DD you know that she has some things to work through that makes dealings with day to day issues a bit more difficult. I would stay in counseling if I could. Even if she didn't have an anxiety disorder I think that some of her behavior is pretty normal for a teen. I don't think kids are as entitled to as much privacy as a lot of parents do. With all of the porn problems and so forth on the net I think it should be expected that you would keep her correspondence in check from time to time. The drug reference is troublesome. Keep an eye on that. My son is dyslexic. He needs constant reminders to do things and we have had to work out things with teachers so that he has learned tools to use so that he can be more accountable for things. He needs visual reminders, check sheets etc. That works well for him with home chores as well. The normal reaction, I think, when you have a child that has difficulties is to become more lenient. I have found out that just the opposite is true. These kids need structure, they need to be held accountable....it is for their own good. Remember....more likely than not....this too shall pass. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Silversword and lamom. You get what I am saying. I was not trying to "goat" anyone into anything or stir up the pot. I really was posting my deep thoughts, kind of like a journal to myself while at the same time trying to explain the situation. The reason I wrote the stuff about the BM being proud of being 'white trash' was because I was trying to explain about what I am dealing with here. That is all. I am the furtherest thing from someone who is all high and mighty and I don't think I am better than anyone else. In fact I am more of the black sheep in my family partly because I am not so judgmental and I am the rebel. I have tattoos, moved out at 17 on my own, don't like people to tell me what to do, etc. And yes I freely admit I am a control freak. That is something I am working very hard on. After the first post I was just adding details and my mind and thinking were changing. I am glad that my tune has changed since last Sunday. I am feeling much more optimistic now. Honestly I didn't think I was even going to come back to this site and I told myself today ok just go see what was said but don't post anymore. I am glad I did come back because both silversword and lamom made feel better and realize that not everyone here is so judgemental. I can take criticism and I was really thankful for the first few posts that told me to grow up because that is exactly what I needed to hear. And I do not get off on or enjoy writing inflammatory posts. I am sorry I was just writing my story and the quotes that sylviatexas posted that I wrote on the first day I registerd were written because that is what was said. I was not making anything up, that is my story and I am sticking to it, lol. My DH did not graduate but I don't hold that against him. I still love him very much. He also had a drug addiction in his past but you know what he is stronger for it and has proven how he can overcome almost anything. People do change and I do not hold their past on them forever. When I say he went through a bad period that is what I was referring. There is, of course, way more to the story and lamom is right you can not describe it all in one post, or even probably in 100. But what matters most is that this site did help me. I got a change to write my thoughts down and try to figure out what in the world I was really feeling. The more I wrote about SS and what HE has to deal with the more I found that I do care about him. I really do. It is still going to take time to build a relationship but I think it is all going to be ok.

Can I join in???? I have lived in Minnesota for most of my life.......I SHOULD be used to the damn, stupid, unpredictale, weather. BUT this winter just goes on and on and on. Part of my problem is not feeling good. The sinuses are killing me. I wanted to get to the pharmacy to pick up some prescriptions I had phoned in a few days ago, and wanted to pick up some sinus capsules and mostly some saline nose spray. It is snowing like crazy outside. I feel like crying. Huggs to you all who also have the blues today. I know, this too shall pass. Dottie

I wanna play the "Pissed Off Game Too".

Toilets overflowing last night, got me in a really bad mood and it hasn't left yet.

I went to my room to watch TV before Main Man got around to eating his dinner. Usually around 10:00 pm. Guess what I woke up too? Not only a dirty kitchen, but Salmon left out all night along with the Spinach/Rice Dish meant to be leftovers for dinner tonight. I'm not cleaning that kitchen and I'm not cooking dinner.

I'm not speaking to him right now. It's better that way. I can't believe he is at the kitchen snack bar working on some papers in that stinky kitchen and it doesn't bother him.

OMG am I glad to have read this post! I am dealing with some chronic health problems and started seeing a naturpath to help. I don't think my husband trusts her and I feel like I have to convince him that she's not a quack!

Plus, last easter, I ate a bunch of stuff I shouldn't have and have been sick all week. Blah!

AND, as with Dottie, the weather here is the absolute pits! See for yourself! I just took this picture a few minutes ago. Yesterday, there was no snow here. Grrrrrr.

There has to be something in the air. I went to lunch with one of my girlfriends today and all we did was sit and b*tch. I have had killer cold that wont to away, my parents have decided to divorce after 35 years of marriage and let me tell you I am not handling this very well at all so it's effecting my marriage which makes everything really fun! My friends dog is really ill and her son's acting up. It's nice to have someone to vent to.

Sorry you had such a rotten day. Hope tomorrow is better.

I have been dealing with March Madness at work and I don't mean basketball! Today was the last day for the attorney's to get their CLE for 2007. I know you understand about that. I don't know why they can't allow a little time for those credits to be processed. They also don't seem to understand I don't work at or for the State Bar. GRRRRR. I'm taking next week off.

Well I can feel it. Definately seems like March is going out like a lion and a really pi$$ed off one at that. We had snow, sleet and freeqing rain last night but no late start. I was up from 12 until 5 this morning with Hayden who decided that he wasn't going to sleep and that it was play time. DH and oldest came down about 4 when the thundersnow started. Our old house's window's were shaking and it felt like the windows were going to break. I am feeling the pregnancy, too. I am tired, feel like I need to eat or I'll throw up all the time, and feeling no energy. With 3 kids at home and all under the age of 4 being pregnant was not in our plans but definately in someone else's plans.

So lets all make a promise to get out of these moods and do some nasty April fools jokes tomorrow just to get these bad moods out. I plan on telling my mom that I went to the doctor ( which I am) and that she saw the heartbeats, meaning I am having twins. If it is true I will just die. I used to when in High school and college, call my mom and tell her I was pregnant, just to see if I could get a rise out of her.

There must be something in the air. DH has been an absolute bear for a while. Our employee is really pi$$ing him off and DH can't even come home and vent (the employee has been living with us since Oct) So I'm taking the brunt of his frustration.

Hey Firemanswife -- I think I emailed you [in error ] but did want to sympathize with you and dealing with your parents' divorce -- Please encourage them to get counseling -- A dear friend of mine went through the same thing and her parents sought counseling & did reconcile .. Counseling is always helpful - if nothing else - to get assistance in dealing with the situation. best thoughts for all involved from me..
