Pics of BM Light Pewter

I am trying to find a color for my kitchen. It will have black granite counters, white (white-white, not cream) cabinets, red oak natural hardwood floors. I thought I wanted grey, but I can't find the right one. It's a small space without a lot of direct light, so I want one that isn't too dark.

I'm thinking Edgecomb, but it's a little more taupe than I had planned. I'd love to see Light Pewter in a room or maybe revere pewter at half strength? Thanks!!

Ok this is simple really. When ever your dealing with a room that does not get much light you must stick with a light color. Now a rule you should always go with is find the color you want that might be a lil dark for that room and on the same card or page in the book go down 1-3 colors and that is your color.

See the colors on that page or card are basically the same just light to dark. So if you like the dark version of one color when you put the lighter one on your wall it will show good similarty to the darker color you wanted first.

Rule about paint colors --- Lighting is everything. I just moved into a new house and am repainting it all, b/c I am compulsive about painting first. Even if I have to repaint and repaint a room (immediately) till it's right, I do it. I AM compulsive.... and it always serves to remind me that Lighting (Light, not the lamps) is everything. I tried Light Pewter in my bedroom, but it was a bit too much to the grey side of taupe for me. Another bedroom I did in a similar shade but leaning a bit more to the beige side is Edgecomb Grey. Has a very urban sophisticated look. I was happy with it for that room. Revere Pewter is very nice, too. It is a bit warmer. (Remember, Lighting is everything). Miss Mary

Well the only ones that I have right now are w/ the lights on. I also use flourescent bulbs so that does affect the color. So far I like it. To me even though it is totally a color it is registering as a 'none color' to my eye which I really appreciate. Nothing in your face. I think that it sets off my antique lithograph's very nicely as well as my ivory curtains. It really is very hard to describe. As soon as it is sunny out I will take daytime pics. It def. is warm and not a cold grey which I was very concerned about since this rm. gets it's best light in the late morning and early afternoon. For now:

Using White Dove would be just fine for both. I have Extra White for my trim & Snow Caps for my ceiling. My ceiling is much warmer than my trim. We are relaxing upstairs in the loft now. I just snapped this pic. I love having the molding pop, but White Dove for both would work great. My master (the open door with the messy bed) is painted Revere Pewter & I LOVE that color!!

I see brown/green undertones in Revere Pewter; I see gray/brown undertones in Light Pewter Revere Pewter is a beautiful wall color. However, like any paint color, it will be affected by natural light. I have it in my living room/dining, which get east, north and south light and it Is perfect thought the day. You have very little natural light in the basement room, so going light isn’t always the answer. If you have a dark room where you need to have lights on all the time, do something deeper which works with the lighting you have. My experience is darker makes a space look bigger because the corner shadows aren’t as obvious.
