Dear Sir,

Re: Instruction for Payment By Confirmable International Bank Cheque, Total Amount: USD$5,390,000-00 only.

We are writing concerning a sum of US$5,390,000.00 in our custody.

We have received an International Bank Cheque payment instruction from the Bank of England in the total sum of US$5,390,000 in your favour to be released and payable at your bank as the end recipient.

Instructions from the Bank of England inform that this payment covers an inheritance debt owed to you. We are mandated to release this sum by this INTERNATIONAL BANK CHEQUE within 3-days of this payment notice and endorsement in accordance with our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and payment instructions with the Bank of England.

PROCEDURE FOR CLEARING YOUR CHEQUE:

1. The procedure for clearing your check is simple but the only thing is that you cannot cash it at the counter; it must be paid into your account with your bank due to the volume of the cheque.

2. When you receive your cheque, you shall pay into your account and wait 3 days for it to clear into your account to enable you begin withdrawing funds. It is as simple as that.

3. However, it is very important you note that you shall be required to travel down to our bank here in Principality of Monaco to pick your cheque

4. Or whereby you cannot come to our bank to pick your cheque, you can apply for one of our delivery agents to bring the cheque to your door step address, but that will be under your expense.

5. Be finally informed that you have till Friday the 27th of March to come to our bank to pick your cheque, or it shall be sent back to the apex bank based on their instruction.

As a matter of urgency, you are required to get back to us for more information and to inform us your date of arrival to collect your cheque.

Wow, I'm not a "sir" first off and I don't know anyone in England...oh, wait, I did meet a guy during a squadron exchange with the Royal Air Force years ago. You think Simon remembered me in his will? Too bad he remembered me as a guy. He did really good for himself in the Royal Air Force, didn't he?

Oh, and can someone please clear this up for me? I'm not really sure if they are going to direct deposit my cheque or am I supposed to hop a flight to Monaco? I'm really confused. Then they mention they might come to my door with it, kinda like Publisher's Clearing House! Please help quickly because...

when i moved here.. i brought 1500 potted hosta ... in promix.. heavy peat media ... rototilled to 12 inches .. and slipped the hosta out of the pot .. and stuck the media in the native sand ... over the years.. many cared not a bit.. and thrived.. then i started getting fairy rings [the middle dying in EXACTLY the size of the pot/media] .. and out right loss ... the problem is that the sand was wicking all the moisture out of the peat media .. especially come july and august ... when the sand was really hot ... so.. it is best.. to plant them in native soil ... and not leave that wad of media ... thought the better your soil.. the less it matters ... ===>>>>> by making the cone.. and really firming it up.. you can .. hopefully .. set and retain the plant at the PROPER PLANTING DEPTH .... if some of your hosta.. end up planted too deep ... THEY COME UP LATE ... and many will suffer ...in the long run ... if and when they come up .. and they are late.. then they need to be dug up.. and replanted AT THE APPROPRIATE DEPTH ... the pips.. eyes .. NEED TO BE AT SOIL LEVEL ... not one inch lower ... THERE are 3 parts to a hosta.. the roots.. and the leaves .. and between the two.. is a potato like thingee called the crown ... and the crown .. like an iris.. is at soil level ... another way to tell if they are too deep .. is that if the3y are supposed to be 12 inches tall .. and yours is say.. 8 inches.. and just look squat ... then you poke around.. and see if you can find the crown.. most times.. you will find it a couple inches too deep .... ====>>>> chris grows his in mother earth ... i dont know what his potting media is ... ====>>>> you do not need to remove 100% ... just shake off the majority of the media .... if it is severely root bound.. use the hose ... ===>>> potting media is not soil ... if you want to pot them .. use a PROPER MEDIA ... new post if you cant find old posts on that topic ... if no one above suggested what kind .. ===>>>> did i miss any other questions??? ken

LMBO Too Funny. I just got this from my wife this morning. You can fly into Nice, and then drive over.

I am surprised they didn't ask you for personal information such as your bank, account no., your home address. Strange, strange!! I agree you need to hop on the next flight to Monaco.

Sorry the rest of you, I've already obligated half my inheritance to Maryann. The rest of you are just SOL. You can fly with us to Monaco, though, I would even pay the airfare for everyone.

Sorry Sue, I wanno go to Monaco, but you can drive us to the airport in your BMW.

Caroline, wouldn't it be more like an KT Airtrip?

Mr. L'Strangle, why are you asking me to fly down to Monaco? I am here now! Where are you? I am at the Casino. Blackjack table. Wearing a blue shirt. Drinking Margaritas. The waitresses know me. Boy, will this could not have come at a better time! I am really down and using markers and can't leave the table. This could not have come at a better time. Good thing I check my email every 20 minutes. Can you just convert the check to chips for me at the window? I don't want to give them a check. (Taxes, you know.) How fast can you get over here? I've maxed out on markers and they are going to cut me off.

Tell them you'll come but can't afford a plane ticket right now. Tell them to send you a ticket to Monaco and you'll pay them back when the check clears.
