Tubes tied then those two little pink lines prayers now

Well thought I would let everyone know that despite getting my tubes tied 7 months ago when we had Hayden via c-section, we found out last week that baby number 4 will be coming in November. Let me tell you this was definately planned but will certainly be loved. I had to laugh I called my sister and asked her why I was feeling so sick, nautious, crampy and felt like I was feeling like I wanted to throw up and so dizzy. She asked me if I remembered morning sickness and feeling exhausted with my last 3 babies, DUHHHH. Isn't it so funny how you forget all the miseries of pregnancy even though it has only been 7 months LOL. So another KT forum baby , know well wanted but definately a surprise.

Here is a pic of when I was 7 weeks pregnant with Hayden, as you can see, it never takes me long at all to show. Lord knows I am already getting a belly at 4 weeks.:)

Will be going in Tuesday for more blood work and probably an ultrasound, because of having my tubes tied there is still a chance of an ectopic pregnancy. But my HCG levels have been more than doubling every 2 days and Dr is hopefull everything will be okay. So let me tell you there have been lots of tears of shock and happiness around this house. and the words," What are we going to do with another baby have been frequent. When the baby comes Rhiannon will be 5, Peyton will be 3 and Hayden will be 15 months old, so will definately be a busy house full.

So if you get a chance to think of is it will be appreciated no matter the outcome it will be a crazy year at the Sich household.

Congratulations on your little surprise. The first thing I thought about was an ectopic pregnancy.I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers that all will be okay. Blessings to you.
By the way, it's time to show us some pictures of the kiddies. Unless I've missed them I haven't seen any in a while.

My Goodness. I guess that would be a surprise. All I can say is "This Baby was meant to be...and there is no stopping it".

I live in the Hudson Valley of NY and thanks to a little nudge from my daughter in law, we started our own Victory Garden. You see my son is a US Marine and is overseas right now. His wife is staying with us and thought it would be nice to have a garden that celebrated my son's service to America. Hence a "Victory Garden". Our garden is 32ft x 32ft and we hope to keep it as organic as possible. We spent most of today tranplanting seedlings to the garden that we had started indoors. The piece of yard we decided to use for the garden proved to be a challenge. It was overgrown with wild roses and all kinds of weeds and rocks. Jane, You are definitely right about the dirt plants, but then again, most yard and garden plants are designed to grow in full sun. Two problems with orchids. 1) They don't move water as quickly as dirt plants so cell elongation is hampered more under high light/low humidity than it is with high water pressure garden plants. 2) Orchids are partial shade plants, and each has its own native place in the forest canopy, with forest floor growers like Paphs (and most house plants) being the lowest light. The physiology is adapted to a certain light range, too much light and you get daily chemical backup damage, and energy goes into cleaning up the mess each night rather than growth. I disregarded the conventional wisdom to grow seedlings at lower light (probably I read in Northen's book and others) because I didn't think my light was that high, but after a while I found that I was even stunting my adult catts. High light also goes hand in hand with lower local humidity, and that may have been a big factor too. I grew stunted (75% size) cattleyas for a couple of years until I 1) built the collection large enough that they were self shading due to being packed on the bench, and 2)I moved many to the Oncid benches. I also stunted Phals and Paphs under shoplights because I had so much reflective maerial around them (white stone below and mirrors on 3 sides. It wasn't until I recently moved and put my paphs in a bedroom corner that they actually started to grow big. If you are having flower spacing problems, most notably with things like yellow Catts, which tend to open buds before they get out of sheath, you will get the spike to elongate more if you take them out of growing light and put them down into phal light when the buds start to mature. The overal spike length of phals may not change noticable with high light because of high growth rate, but the flower spacing will. You might not have problems, but if you do, like with the yellow catts, keep that bud end out of the high light. The low humidity right next to bulbs doesn't help the matter. The biggest problem I have ever had with light stunting was growing African violets in a bright apartment. Under my Phal conditions they were so flat and tight that flowers couldn't make it between the leaves easily, and watering had to be from below. That is why I laugh whenever I see it recommended that Phals be grown in AV light.

Jody was on the tow boat during the storm. Louisiana got some 80 mph winds. I think he said he took it up a river and tied it off to a big cypress tree. He was somewhere around Lake Charles, La. The intercoastal canal was closed for several days, due to debris, sunken boats, etc. Staying on a boat during a storm is fairly common place for shrimpers. Usually they will take the boats up a bayou or some place more sheltered and tie them off and stay on them. As a matter of fact, someone tied their commercial snapper fishing boat off at our place during the hurricane. I didn't know it, because I was gone at the time, but my brother in law told me he told the guy to come up here and tie up. The boat is named Iron Sides and the guy who was on it, is paralyzed from the waist down and in a wheel chair. He runs that boat in the Gulf. I can't imagine that. Our shrimp boat had Jody's deckhand on it. The poor guy has terminal cancer and lives on the boat. He stayed on it during the storm and kept the lines tight and no problems with it. It must have been a wild ride. I sure wouldn't want to do that. I don't like to be on boats anyway unless the water is just slick calm.

Sending you wishes for a healthy, happy pregnancy. I had 5 pre-schoolers at one time......all pre-pill, of course. It was hectic, but we all survived very well.

Sending special thoughts and warm hugs for you and your family that everything goes good. My 2 girls were 11 months, 8 days apart so know what its like to have 2 little ones at the same time. :o) Keep us KT aunts posted.

Wow, you sound great! You will have 4 children ubder 6 years old. It can be done-my Mom had 4 kids under 6 and we all turned out okay. I love your photo with the baby bump.

A cousin of mine had 7 children all under the age of 5 and no multi births...They were all born premature (at about 6 months)but they were all healthy. That was probably all before "the pill" also because she had them all before I was married.

Boy did she have a bunch running around...we called them the "litter"

Congratulations...This baby must have a special purpose.

Stacie, you sound like my #3 daughter, who had her oops/suprise baby last August 27th. After the shock wore off, it was just as exciting as her other 3. She had her tubes tied at that time too. That Dr. should deliver this one free, cause his tube tying job failed. LOL
My first 2 were 15 mo. apart. I took the pill after the 1st one, but my gramma talked me out of continuing it, because she said it 'caused cancer'. I quit the pill and bang, here came #2.

My hubby is a post tube tie baby!! He is also # 4.
My MIL kept telling the dr. she felt pregnant, he kept telling her there was no way,(this was 40 years ago) well they both got a surprise!! Hubby and his sis are 13 months apart. She had all four of her kids by the time she was 21. Crazy!!

This is the first I've heard of a baby after tubes being tied. Many instances of pregnancy after a vasectomy but none following tubal ligation. I think I would be upset, but you are optimistic. That's wonderful. Congratulations.

Our 3rd was a suprise, first was barely 3, second was 13 months when he arrived. It all worked out well, they are now 36, 34 & 33. Congratulations!

My surprise baby is now 30,born 10 years later than my youngest at the time.
I was guarenteed that I could not get pregnant,but after the initial shock we were overjoyed.
My son is extra special to everyone in the family,including his older siblings.
I thank God every day for him.

I have a friend that welcomed baby #4 that way too. I also know someone who had 3 kids already. Four days before her third child was to begin kindergaten she found out she was pregnant with #4. During the kindergaten open house other moms kept saying to her "It must be great having them ALL in school now!" She could'nt say a word.

What is it with #4? God must really like that number. You seem to be in good spirits. Babies are not bad things. God must think that your a good mommy to give you another.

23 years ago, I also had a tubal baby. I had my tubes cut and burnt after the birth of my second son. 15 months later I was pregnant with my daughter. She was meant to be and she has grown to be a lovely young lady. She is truly a gift from God.

I think you should be refunded any money you had to pay for the tying of the tubes, that's for sure.

And congratulations, Stacie, I hope this pregnancy goes really well for you, you busy lady, you!

OMG! How exciting! But ummmm, I am 50 and had my tubes tied 25 years ago and you have me muttering, "Tube job, don't fail me now!!"
