Do you cut it, peel it, or tear into it?

Bathroom tissue, like a 4-roll or 12-roll pack. How do you open yours? Are any of them perforated anymore? I violently rip it open and disjoint the cardboard spools. LOL

Cut it?

Peel away the sealed layers?

Rip it apart?

Other? Please explain

I slide my finger nails down between the two layers cutting the plastic.

The pictures are at such close view one does not get a good feel for what the light conditions are. If there is too much shade, it will be hard to grow many screening plants and you'll need to select with care. The pergola is primarily a ceiling, when you need primarily a wall. Given that you don't like maintaining the wisteria, it might be time to move on to a better solution. I wouldn't yet rule out the right vine on a wall-like structure.

Some of mine are so ugly, they are "cute.." : ) I have one tree "Pele" that looks like it went through a nuclear meltdown when the temps were Ahhh... very hot in the greenhouse last year.. Won't mention any names.. Cough, cough... He is still in the dog house for that one.. : ) I now have the temps under control.. This was the only one that looks bad.. So, your tree looks great to me too! : ) You are so right about our temps here.. We can have cool temps and then extreme heat. That is why you need to be careful to acclimate your trees in the spring. It sounds like you have a great handle on yours!! Good Luck and keep us posted!! Rachel, You are so kind to say.... It seems really thick and goopy and I think you have to be a very seasoned painter and work quickly IMO. I just scraped the drips off and I am going to allow it to dry, go get lunch and sand it eben though there is this warning about sanding and cancer on the side. Nice. I am usually a decent painter and just cut in my FR with no issues at all same brush etc, but SW duration paint. I am not blaming the paint maybe just my upset that my line was not coming over so clean and I think I had a bit too much paint on the brush. I also JUST founf out DH used my super favorite brush that I use to cut in last night to paint and trim in the ceiling and he abuses the brush. SO Ia m going to go get another and attempt to fix this.

In my limited experience, new leaves sprout and grow long before there are any significant roots. I'd put it in dappled shade outside but probably not repot until you can see roots growing from the bottom of the pot. I've lost many cuttings because of impatience. What soil are you growing in? I'm in your same area and have the best luck with cuttings grown in the ground over winter in a mostly shady spot but with just a little sun.

I keep a small pair of old embroidery scissors in the loo just for that sort of frustrating thing while I'm usually dancing around because I've waited tooooo long!

I poke a finge through, then slide it down. I wish they would make it easier to open.

I usually rip them open but for some reason, DH is the one to open the packages. Guess he uses more & more often.:0))

I always poke my finger down into the center of a roll and tear away!
Thats how it's always done in my house,because I'm the only one who knows how to open a package and change a roll.

Any of you "Ripper"s named "Jack"?

My friend gave me a few unpackagd rolls a while ago.

It's been so long, as I live alone and usually try to carry out movements away from home ...

... that I almost forget how.

Ripper, I think - poke a hole where the hole in the tube is, often.

I thought that it must be apples: I don't "tear into" oranges.

Hope you enjoy life - with this being your only required "evacuation": no forest fires, floods, etc. to drive you away from your habitation.
