Michael..can you help? Having a problem with flat paint...

A couple of weeks ago I went and bought two gallons of SW "relic bronze" to paint my dining room. Since the bottom half is finished to appear like wainscotting (using semigloss paint) I decided to use flat on the upper half of the walls. The walls were in good condition, required no patching or sanding, and I put two coats on. The paint still shows roller marks, and it's driving me crazy!

This is the first time I've used flat paint. Usually I'm an eggshell or satin kind of girl, and have had no problems obtaining an even finish. Is flat just harder to paint with, or did I do something wrong?

Thanks for your help!
