I remember Bobby Sherman. Could he sing...no....but he was SO cute I bought his 45 (Julie, Julie, Julie do you love me?). And David Cassidy...same thing (I think I love you...but what am I so afraid of?). (Gosh....does David look like his daddy today or what???) I'm really telling my age! Truly enjoying Melinda and Kiki (LaKisha).....love those gospel singers!! Was good to see Tony Bennett too....I have many of his cds and his 80th birthday tribute video..it is great. I was told the other day that you are "Old" if you remember Billy Ray Cyrus in a mullet. That REALLY burst my bubble......I feel 20 inside people!! lololololol Billy Ray wasn't really that long ago...was he?????

He's not my favourite for sure, but I can't see how David Cook can NOT win. Personality/talent/comfort on the stage combined - there's no one to beat him. I loved Syesha last night. Normally she comes across to me as quite bland and ordinary, despite the fact that she's incredibly talented and has a fantastic voice. There's just nothing different about her, I suppose. Last night, however, she shone. I think Broadway is more her thing that being a pop star. Carly and Jason are my top choices. Carly is just amazing - I love her, but she doesn't seem to have the huge fan base that a few of the others have. Jason doesn't have a huge range, and he's not terribly flexible in his styles, but I think his voice is neat and interesting, and very unique. I love listening to his version of songs. He reminds me a bit of John Denver. David A. is a great singer. I think he'll really be something in, say, 10 years or so. He doesn't seem to have a lot of confidence right now. His voice is very polished and professional, but he never really seems comfortable with himself. I think that'll hold him back. I adore Brooke. She incredibly beautiful, and she seems so sweet. I love her style, too. Very Joni Mitchell. And she is so emotional. I don't think she'll last much longer, though. I think she'll be the one to go tonight. I predict she and Jason will be the bottom 2, but Jason probably has more fans, so he'll last another week or so.

I've bought a couple of Clay Aiken's, but don't even like him anymore and don't listen to them. I liked the Clay that was on Idol, not the real one. I have downloaded two or three of Carrie Underwood's and Kelly Clarkson's from iTunes. Still like the Carrie ones, but ended up deleting Kelly's. Won't buy any from this year's contestants.

As far as constructive criticism, I think Kara gives the best. She tempers the bad with the good. Simon and Randy keep telling them the same things: song choice, do something different with the song to make it yours, etc then when they do, its not right. Ellen doesn't have any musical talent to base her comments on, just whether she likes the person or not. I wish they just had the 3 or the 4th being a musical guest of the week. I didn't care for Sinatra night. I liked Crystal's song better than the judges, and Lee was good. Mike was okay as was Aaron. Casey wasn't very good. He looked lost without his guitar.
