I'm going to put together a casserole for friend, who lost her husband.

Then I'll go exercise my body!

Looks like we are instore for bad weather this evening.

I'm alternating between taking the dogs out for fresh air, working in the greenhouse, tidying up and talking to my brother on facebook. Later I'm going to roast a chicken.

I didn't go to church this morning. I have started doing the laundry and I also bottled up the five gallons of laundry soap I made the other day. I am getting ready to make batch number 10. I sent some home with Cheryl today. I may take a nap :)

Guest staying with us. We all got up early and went to church. They took us out to lunch before they had to leave. Did a little shopping and now back home, watching the nascar race now. Guest have left, and we may go back out shopping again later.

Getting ready to leave for our grandughter's birthday party. Then we have two more grandaughter's parties next saturday..... Then a new baby to come on the 14th and another grandaughter's birthday on the 22nd.. WHEE!!!!!!!!!

I took the garbage out, then went and got groceries. I'm trying to take it somewhat easy because my left knee is sore. Hubs cut down a box so I could pack up some knitting pattern books I'm sending to an internet friend. Other than that guess I'll take it easy and maybe watch my Celtic Thunder DVD this aft. noon. I planted peas, and two more blueberry bushes yesterday
We put in some raspberry plants a couple of weekends
ago.. a friend gave us a bunch of 2 year old plants.
never had raspberries.. hope I can figure them out! lol
going to plant tomatoes this year too. and probably
broccoli too. that is super easy. want rhubarb too! lol

Yesterday I gave two of the yorkies their spring haircuts, and this morning did the other three. Getting ready to bathe ME now, I always feel so grimy after giving a doggie haircut.

Then it's Taco day today, it was supposed to be for NASCAR race day, but it's looking like the race is going to be rained out.

You won't have any trouble with raspberries, Kat. Before long, you'll be digging up runners. Your blueberries will take some TLC, however.

I've started lots of tomatoes, peppers, beans, peas, broccoli, cauliflower...

So far I've read the paper, and checked the grocery ads. My DD has been here for our every Sunday visit, and now I am catching up at the KT.

The temp is 43°, feels like 40° and it is drizzling and gloomy. Rain on the way from now until Thursday. I keep saying "Hurry, Spring!" I did see a cardinal in the tree outside my window, but he is gone now.

I took some spaghetti (that I made last week) out of the freezer and will have that and Texas toast for supper.

In a little while I'm going to have a snack and watch an old movie Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte. Perfect for a gloomy day.

Later I'll record Housewives and watch Apprentice.

Such an exciting life I lead!

I got up this morning, put a pork roast in my slow-cooker, got the bread-maker going, then decided to clean the oven.
Major Yuck!!!

My mother wanted me to help her repot her houseplant, and I needed to take her some potting soil. Also took over some groceries I had picked up for her yesterday. Am now waiting for a friend to come and get some worm poop. She's bringing me some empty kitty litter pails. I love having pails on hand. I'll need to harvest my bins in the next couple weeks, then will give away about 5 gallons of worm poop on Freecycle.

Just finished watching Undercover Boss we had taped. Good show.

I skipped church this morning to watch my Iowa State women play UConn in the Sweet Sixteen. We got beat badly.
Now that the sun is shining I need to get dressed and take Jake for a walk. We both need the exercise. I am looking forward to warmer weather this week and a chance to get some bicycle riding in.

Church this morning, then just dawdled for a while, DD#3 called so that took some time, then I went out to clean out some of the flower beds. Some of the sedums are showing their little noses.....doesn't take much to excite me! For supper, I'm going to make Glenda's Sawmill gravy for the biscuits I made yesterday.

We went to church this morning, then stopped for a Taco Salad for dinner. Now He is permanently planted in front of the TV to watch anything and everything that would be called a sport.

I'm fighting to stay awake while reading a book/ and alternately\ knitting. Supper will be a frozen pizza.

I envy all you gardeners, it sounds like so much fun. We need a few more shrubs planted around our house this year. All the flowers that were planted last year are showing new little growth. I love Spring!

Went out doing errands and saw a "Baby's first laptop" at Target.
Of course, grandmom just had to get it.
Maddie, who was 5 months old yesterday has been playing with it for over an hour....buttons play music or sounds or phrases and stuff.

So much fun to watch her.

DH and I are babysitting our two grandsons (3 and 5 months) while DD goes to a friend's baby shower. We had them for the weekend since she wanted to get her dh's car serviced. She has learned when she comes to our house, which is an hour away from hers, that she can get either car serviced as the dealers are within 10 minutes, and that we still have 2 cars at our disposal. Besides, we can babysit so she can run other errands or just give her an easier day with extra pairs of hands. Of course, we love it. She has such sweet, polite, and happy sons.

We worked around the place. Daughter came out and helped and we went out to eat. Now I am going to check on and take food to Ken, the old man I take care of.

The kids are leaving tomorrow so we're spending as much time as we can with them. They live in California so we don't get to see much of them.

We were going out for dinner but the weather forecast looked nasty so I made chicken salad with grapes, celery and pecans and shrimp and rice salad that has olives, celery and green onion. Have croissants for us and gluten-free crackers for DSD.

They got here Wednesday and it's been so nice having them but I'm really tired!

We went to church this morning and then to lunch w/ DD#1 and her DD#3. Her DH was in a golf tournament. I've spent the afternoon reading a book "Girls in Trucks" and talking on the phone to DD#2. We piddled in the yard some, but it was too cold for me, so I didn't last as long as DH did. I worked the Sudoku in the paper which is 5 puzzles that overlap. I love it. I'll check out the TV schedule for tonight and see what I'll watch. That's about it~

I spent three hours in the minor emergency clinic...woke up and couldn't swallow...was afraid I had strep throat but nope...just a bad case of the flu...came home and crawled back to the couch...

had trouble sleeping so was late getting up. dh made breakfast :) we got to costco, before 10, but again our store opened early...made a stop at home depot for yet another piece of trim for the new tub/shower... put up some more tile trim and wouldn't you know? we're 2 short!

put on a frozen chunk of pork loin...i cook it real slow for several hours...

between times dh watched michigan state...made the final 4....yea!

I had a GREAT day! We had the GK's & adult kids over for an Easter Egg hunt followed by a walk to the park then a chicken & burger cook-out. It was TOOOO much fun! The GK's got candy stuff and toys/games for their loot. Adult kids got mini booze bottles & wine coolers. We topped off the yummy burgers & 2 kinds of chicken with the BEST Key Lime pie I've ever had (we lived in FL for 9 yrs.) thanks to my DDIL's aunt who won't tell anyone the pie secret (she sells them, won't give up the recipe for business purposes.) The sun was shining, it was in the low 70's. PERFECT, fun, delicious day!
