Relax, I'm Canadian (not a well kept secret) and I remember that guy. Can't always keep them all straight but yes some catch my interest more than others though I really do like seeing them all.

Here's a picture I saved because I thought it was such a beautiful kitchen even though it wasn't finished. I can't even remember who it belongs to, but I never did see a follow-up.

I wonder how tantadoodles' kitchen turned out. She was pursuing a direction I had considered (Ikea white door with soapstone and/or marble).

Also, there are many beautiful kitchens that have been posted as 90 percent finished but have not made it to the FKB. Makes me regret not bookmarking them! Mindimoo's comes to mind...

No, there's no detailed list of what's what, but there is a link to the photo albums or sites where you can see them.

Here's how to get to it...

1. Go to the Finished Kitchens Blog (http://finishedkitchens.blogspot.com/).

At the bottom of the navigation panel on the right, there is a link labeled "In-progress Kitchens" (b/w the "RSS Feed" and "Other GardenWeb member blogs" links.)
Click on the link and you will be taken to an alphabetical listing of the GW in-progress kitchens.

Email StarPooh if you want your kitchen added to the "In Progress Kitchens" (see the "Questions? Contact starpooh" link on the Finished Kitchens Blog, top of the right navigation panel)

As soon as I finish with my backsplash and pendant lights, I will post finished kitchen pics. My DH just finished painting last weekend. We took a break to catch up financially with the finishing touches. We are loving our kitchen though and enjoying cooking in it. Although I don't log in everyday like I used to, like vicnsb, I can't imagine not posting my finished pics and checking in on this wonderful and friendly site!

i agree! even though my kitchen is long done.....i keep coming back and have a list of kitchens that i am interested in seeing the outcome. i'm just wondering if i eventually can't keep hanging around.....kind of like the 24 year old loser that still hangs out at the high school???????????????

If the finished kitchen folks didn't hang around here anymore who would advice the in process kitchen folks and still planning kitchen folks? Don't leave us.

lol, i am approaching the one year anniversary of finishing my kitchen, and here i am. :) this forum became part of my browsing routine over the last two-to-three years (I had a couple of false starts, so was in research mode a long time). but also, i am still trying to "pay forward" all of the advice and picture posting i received from those "finished kitcheners" who were still around during my research and remodel phases. i don't think there was a single purchase i considered that i wasn't able to find someone here who had it and could commented a/o posted a picture for me. invaluable, esp. given how many things i purchased based on photo only.

I keep waiting for updates from bayareafrancy. Last I heard, she was painting her cabinets. I've grown attached to her marvelous little kitchen, but lately, nada!

I'd like to know how the woman with the long narrow island which had seating that backed up to her clean up sink finalized her layout. She was making some great changes but I never saw the final product,

i know what you mean. i can't imagine spending so much time here and then not delivering a pic of the final outcome. in fact, i wonder how i will ever be able to leave once our build is done. so i've decided to NEVER stop doing "something" in the house ...just to be able to hang around and post pics!

i heard from sayde......she decided to put her kitchen remodel on hold because of the economy. i guess she had everything finalized but her and her dh decided to wait until things turn around.......could be years! i think she stopped visiting gw because it was just too hard for her! she said to say "hello" to everyone....

So, I am not nearly as fun as bayareafrancy or sayde, but I am one of the ones who was posting for a while and then stopped--a) because I got discouraged by initial quotes for our reno and decided we needed to move, and b) because I got extremelt busy with work. I would love to tell evryone here all about that--I just don't know what GW allows you to say about personal business--the short version is that I sold my first novel to a major publisher!!!

Anyway, along with doing revisions, we also found a wonderful reasonably-priced GC and are now about 2/3 of the way through a reno of the kitchen, mudroom and family room. I am really excited and can't wait to post pictures. And I will also be posting wioth some questions before too long...

anyway, that's where I've been. I have learned so much from the forum and I think I reference it several times a day when working with our GC.

The book will be coming out from Doubleday in May 2010. (publishing moves at a snail's pace.)
