Velleta! Congrats! I'm glad you posted a picture. I know it was a tough journey but you did it and from now on it will only get easier. You will love them more and more and your heart will be happier and happier. Ok thanks. Need linens next then. My friends and I all sort of "trade" furniture! So the cherry set from her guest bedroom is coming to my house and my guest room. She has some antique oak she wants to use but need my bed frame and rails! No its not ideal but if I hate it we'll simply take it to the Battered Women's shelter and go shopping! And the modern oak that is in my room now will go to another friends house for her room - where my daybed lives! This trading has always worked for us its new in our houses and fun. I've spent the day fining a home for all the the desk drawer stuff and tossing. The desk is going to the shelter - to their office! Guess this is kindof a re-use recycle project!

At good lumber yards there may be more variety in sizing available. We were able to get this beadboard in slightly knotty pine to match existing pine beadboard and pine shiplap wainscoting in our old cape. I love the warmth of beadboard. I think it is quieter than drywall. If you go with painted beadboard, my suggestion is to paint the tongue edge of every board before installing, and allow it to dry thoroughly. It will minimize any humidity-related shrinking/expansion of the beadboard to show as a crack.
