What a project to tackle the day before surgery! Well, at least that's one worry off your mind... and as the days pass and the weather stays decent, you'll worry about them less. They should really enjoy the fresh air and sunshine! I'm having an especially tough time getting moving this morning... it must be sympathy pains and stiffness, knowing you're headed toward surgery! In reality, it's our goofy weather combined with my goofy immune system. I'll be fine in about 15 minutes... that's how long it takes the med to dissolve. The next time you post, you'll be groggy from surgery and meds, but it'll all be over with and you'll have two good knees! Won't that be wonderful?!! God Bless you, Lizalily! The white Sedum known as Alba has yellow flowers and loves gravel at the edge of a gravel driveway. This way you don't have a fake necklace of stones saying where the edge is. Sedums blend in. Here's some of mine. mike http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i283/Botann/IMG_1583.jpg

Well... we had another light freeze last night so I'm going to move the navel orange and Hass. I think the navel orange should have no problem being moved... right? The plan is to soak them today, move them, then soak them again. We may have a little rain next week so that may help. The spot where the navel orange is now doesn't get frosty since it's closer to the house. You can see where the frost stops... that's going to be where I put the Hass. The spot the Hass is currently in gets frosty, but it also gets the most sun throughout the year. That's where the navel orange is going to be moved to. I think it will be a good move. Hopefully. My other new citrus trees that are in the same line are getting frosty, but seem fine. Just the new growth got hit. Everything else about them looks good. They're they same distance away from the house as the new spot for the navel orange, but they're smaller trees... and they seem fine. So I think the move will be ok for the orange as long as it can handle being moved this time of year. I have never moved citrus trees (or avocado trees) in the winter... so any advice would be appreciated. I have moved lots of other plants in the fall and winter so I'm assuming it should be fine... but if I'm wrong please let me know! Thank you for your advice. :)
