Thank you all for thinking of me! No one made me a cake. Mom usually makes me a chocolate meringue pie and I made it this year. She had surgery and isn't back up to snuff yet. Soon. The boy bought me a slice of chocolate ganache cake at the bakery after we walked to lunch, on the way back. Does that count? He wanted to buy the whole thing, but I just knew we'd eat it all! :)

You all won't believe the surprise birthday party my fellow pigeons gave me tonight! How wonderful to have this experience since I haven't had a birthday party since I was 16. I was given gifts, hugs, music, cake, and best of all, the company of some pretty darn wonderful friends...Peppi, Karen, Sherry, David, Linda, Nancy, and May. Yea Me! All of your wished have added to this very nice day. *I told Jessy some time ago not to post my birthday on the forum because I don't do Bdays for myself. THANK YOU ALL for the birthday wishes. Of course the highlight was the visit and handmade cards from BeauLily. The patient forgot but that is unusual for him, it is I who doesn't remember anniversarys and birthdays. Hey CF friends, thanks so much for the birthday wishes. I know that I can depend on you to brighten my special day. DH had a pained look on his face last night when he got home after working 14 hours and said "do I have something to do tomorrow?" I knew what he meant and I let him off the hook since he has to coach FIVE games today and left the house at 7am getting home about 9:30pm!

As long as I see my GBs, I couldn't have a better day.

Lee, I already have hotel reservations in Boulder.

Thanks all for the birthday wishes. DH did come through--last night he was on the field coaching and I was shivering (yup, it got down to 64 degrees last night). He came to the fence and said "here, take my jacket, happy birthday".
