primer for Aura in these circumstances?

Hi,

We want to use Aura paint but I don't know what primer, if any, we should use.

The rooms are a dining room and kitchen that had the wall in between taken down and partially rebuilt. So some of each room is old wall, which has already been painted (many times I'm sure since the house was built in the 1950s). And some of each room is new, unprimed drywall. The pre-existing kitchen wall is a medium yellow and the dining room is a medium green-blue color.

I'm planning to paint the kitchen Buxton Blue and the dining room some variation on that (probably a bit lighter for above chair rail and darker for below.)

Should we prime, and if so, which primer? I'd prefer low VOC. If we should use primer, should it be tinted in some way?

Thank you!

Catherine
