I think the whole situation is screwy. Mom reminds me so much of a woman I know who ALWAYS claims her children are right--even when they do something wrong right in front of her face. Dad--what's up with him. He had a quick bout of suicidal thoughts, and now he's back to normal, roaming the countryside, talking to the media, living life just as before? What? The brother was being interviewed the other day, about serious issues and he laughed and giggled when he answered--totally inappropriate.

I've given up trying to understand this family--they are so nuts, it's a futil exercise, I'm afraid.

Have heard several suggestions of who the father might be--he's dead, he's alive, he doesn't know he had a daughter. Impossible to tell when Casey's telling the truth.

Oh, as to the apt--wasn't it supposed to be vacant at the time? Thought I heard that, but who knows--it's been so long, and there has been so much put out there, both true and false, I could be wrong.

Susposedly she went there to rent the apartment at one time. A friend of Casey's said on a blog once that casey didnt know who the father was. Apparently there were several candidates.

Apartment at the Sawgrass Apartments was vacant. Casey had a friend that lived in the Sawgrass Apartment complex. It is believed that she saw the visitor card that Zenaida Gonzalez filled out when she went there to look for an apartment. Then, Casey saw her leave and saw the NY plates on her car. But, in his deposition in the civil case filed bu Gonzalez, Casey's brother, Lee, said Casey told her that she never went to Sawgrass and that she met Zenaida at Blanchard Park.

As for the father, I don't think we'll ever know and I doubt that Casey even knows. In the last document dump, there were tests, released by the FBI that excluded family members (bother and father) as being possible parents.

Here in Central Florida, this case keeps being on every news headlines.

I saw the man who claims to be Caylee's father being interviewed on a tv program a month or so ago.

But my question still is, where then did this Nanny live that Casey insists looked after Caylee. If this is to be her defence about the Nanny taking Caylee she must have lived somewhere. I am sure this question is going to come up at trial.

There isn't a Nanny. She lied. Just like she lied about everything else.

This whole case has me rethinking the "waterboarding" thing!

Yes, I realize there is NO Nanny, but the defense case is based around the Nanny taking Caylee, so the defense has to come up with a location of where Casey says she had been taking Caylee to be babysat with this (imaginary) Nanny.

I know the Nanny is all a lie but the defense is building their case around the Nanny taking Caylee.

Casey said she took Caylee to the apartment complex where the "Nanny" supposedly lived and dropped her off into Nanny's hands outside the apartment.From what I have gathered in the interviews of her about the Nanny,she never actually went inside an apartment.She also said that sometimes she dropped her off to the Nanny at a park or other places where the Nanny went often with Caylee.

I agree with azzalea,that whole family is nuts! In the first place if Caylee were my grand child and lived in the same house with me (or not) and I hadn't seen or talked to her in a week,much less a month,I would have been finding out where she was! And a mother whose baby has been missing even a few days,much less weeks and doesn't report it,totally unbelievable.I wonder if one or both of the grandparents may have had something to do with Caylee's death or are covering up for Casey.That is a horrible thought but possible.Whatever happened,I pray that someone will trip up and the truth will eventually come out.I don't want to even imagine what that baby's last moments of life were like,especially if it was her mother or grandparents that killed her.So sad.

I wonder if they've asked any of the possible candidates for being Caylee's father to step forward and offer DNA? Or, if any men have volunteered to do so?

I also have wondered how Caylee's great-grandfather feels about the whole thing. (The old man whose lap Caylee was sitting on while singing "You Are My Sunshine".) Are any of the other great-grandparents living? What do they think?

I think you can tell from the jailhouse videos that Casey is used to having the last word (and she's very wordy and interruptive) and that her family always gave in rather than pressing her for the truth....way before Caylee was even born!

One problem is that without proof, the media tends to make up anything it wants to sell papers, or to ""make"" you watch the news. And even with the so call proof why should we believe anything we see/hear on the news. There is so much good news that never makes the news.

As we all know, there is no Zenaida Gonzales that ever took care of little Caylee. Now, Caysey has said she lied about dropping Caylee off at the Sawgrass Apartments, as that was something too easily checked. Now, she has said the real story is that she met the "Nanny" in Jay Blanchard Park and that the "Nanny" took Caylee from her. Casey told her brother, Lee, that she didn't put up a fight, that she just let her take Caylee, as the nanny said she would give her back to Casey when the time was right. Casey apparently needed a little time to make up the story about the park.
When it comes to this family, can you spell dysfunctional???
