I'll let you know Monday, when my console is scheduled for delivery! So far, I've been very impressed with the customer service, and the piece is arriving in record time, about 3 weeks. I ordered the Chamboard Demilune Console. It's made of pine and pine veneers, rather than the cheap wood chip furniture I see so much of at places like Homegoods. And I feel like I got a good deal; it was originally $900, marked down to $679. So I'll let you know.

I believe some of the mirrors may be resin or composite, if they have a highly carved or decorative appearance. Most new mirrors are not wood unless they are either very plain or very expensive. That is not necessarily indicative of quality...some very nice mirrors are composites or resin.

I bought a desk system from them- not cheap, but it is of excellent quality (heavy, all wood, etc) and have had nothing but good experiences with their customer service.

I'd call and ask what the mirror frame is made of if having a solid wood frame is important to you. I'd agree with palimpsest though that resin or composite frames aren't always a bad option especially with mirrors since the glass is so heavy to begin with and hanging them can be difficult anyway.

It appears that about half of the mirrors are wood composite or urethane rather than solid wood.

I'm very fortunate to live near a Ballard outlet---the Backroom, as it is called. Over the years I've purchased many things from the company, both from the catalog at retail and from the outlet. The customer service can't be beat and the quality---while not top of the line---is consistently good and the design is very good.

I have ordered several things from them, and I have always been happy. I ordered pendant lights for my kitchen, but was unable to use them, the customer service people were excellent. They accepted my return, even though it was past the amount of time allowed for returns. I've also always been happy with their quality.
