You mentioned you got some of your trim and on your ceiling. Did you also paint these? If so, do you have any of the paint left from doing the trim and ceiling?

The trim on the windows is it (oil or waterbase)?

You didn't say how much paint seeped under onto your trim and onto the ceiling. Just a little in spots or a whole lot???

You also didn't mention what color of paint you used on the walls (light, med, or dark)

Anyway, if you didn't paint the ceiling and trim and not knowing how much paint seeped, I would get some Motsenbocker's Lift Off 5, start out with a q-tip or the edge of a corner of a clean rag. Try dabbing to remove some of the color of the paint that seeped under(if this was a dark color- or waterbase over oilbase trim). Same with the ceiling area if it is a dark color, just try dabbing at first to remove some of the excess seepage color.

If you didn't paint the trim and ceilings, you might try getting the closest color to what you already have on the trim/ceiling and just take very little paint with a little water added, say 2tbsp of paint and 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. water, stir really good and use a light touch to touch up in those areas. Depends on the size of the areas, how much, you might get away with using an artist brush to lightly dab the paint on .

Don't try to get it all on in one application . You don't want to put the touch up paint on heavy trying to get it to cover the first time. Let dry and do it again. Build up
the color.

That's about all I can suggest - not knowing some of the other things and sometimes depending on the size of seepage and the age of the other paint, etc. it is "almost" "impossible" to get a complete match when touching up.

Yours is on the trim/ceiling and not having to cover up mishaps on the walls , so your seepage problems may not be as bad, . Just different variables for each .

Thank you so much - very helpful. Yeah, the colors are dark - our bedroom a dark blue and the office Gerogian Green, more of a medium color. I did not paint the trim and ceiling, but have the leftover paint for the trim (water-based) from the previous owners. No ceiling paint though. Not too much paint seeped through, just enough to make the edge very jagged and messy looking, little drips and the like. Thanks for the detailed instructions - I will let you know how it comes out! Can I buy Motsenblocker's Lift Off 5 at any hardware store/Home Depot?

You should be able to get the wall paint off the trim fairly easily with a wet rag wrapped around a putty knife...no chemicals should be needed...just some elbow grease. Same thing with the paint on the floors. If the finish on the floors is an oil based poly you can also use denatured alchohol to clean up old latex paint without damaging the finish.
