jaymielo- I don't know if I did things 'backwards' by most standards, but it worked for me! I picked out my tile before anything else in the bathrooms. I did a lot of magazine clipping for inspiration. I found my cache of clippings the other day and was surprised to see how closely I ended up following their general themes after all. Although I didn't have specific colors picked out for each bathroom, I did have a general FEEL of what I wanted. For instance, in my boys bath, I knew the design needed to be more masculine, what an adult would feel comfortable with (since they won't be little for long!), and also something that would work if a girl ever entered the family picture and used one of the bedrooms sharing that bath. Honestly, I didn't even think about the countertop at this point, since I knew that it would be easier to pick that out after figuring out the tile. We ended up doing the copper slate bath up there: For our master bath, I had found a pic of one that had a creamy yellow with darker wood in it. Then we went on a trip to Santa Fe and stayed in a B&B that had the most awesome travertine shower in it. DH and I knew immediately that we wanted to find a similar tile for our master bath. We also had known for a few years that we wanted to do a pebble floor in there. Adding all those ideas together, we came up with this: I guess my best suggestions would be to 1)Get your magazine/photo clips out and decide what it is you like about them in particular. 2)Decide of the main function of a particular bath--kids, light or heavy traffic, guests, etc. 3)If you want individuality, do each bath one at a time so that you don't overwhelm yourself. Keep in mind that even though they will all be different, if they fit the general color schemes of your house, there will still be a 'flow' throughout. 4)If you want even more cohesiveness, pick a general tile and mix the accent pieces/countertops to individualize each bath. 5) Remember that you can always change the paint color, but it's MUCH harder and more costly to change tile! I'm sure whatever you do will turn out great. It's just the process that can sometimes be overwhelming!

Ani - I'm one of the ones with the issues w/the Wolf AG range. Chances are you "might" be OK with your new purchase. We, however, are quite glad to be rid of our problematic Wolf and very happy with the new American. That said, if you do have issues, Wolf was very good about servicing (except for the one guy that thought I was crazy) and in the end, did the right thing by buying back the range, in full plus installation. In other words, they stood by the product. I do think though there are still some unresolved issues with the AG ranges that were put in to production for the 2007 year. (mainly because no one could figure out what the problem was and fix it!) If that has been resolved, you should be great for many years! As to your solutions listed above - a - tried on some ranges, didn't completely resolve the issue. b - the riser is not the issue as some have had issues with the taller risers c- the problem was not the regulator but it was replaced anyway. d - gas line - be sure your gas line from street to house, house to range etc meets the standards of Wolf as stated in docs (ours did, but still had problems) If you stick with it, most if not all problems with the ranges I know about were noticeable right off so it shouldn't take you long to see if the burner/oven issues are evident in your range. Don't throw it away! If you don't want it box it up and send it to Cathy. She collects funny kitchen gadgets. My father taught me to make huge spaetzle noodles. Dumpling he called them. A dozen eggs cracked into a bowl, flour until it is fairly stiff dough, and a half a handful of parsley. Dropped from a spoon into a pot of boiling water. Tip.. wet the spoon in a cup of water bewteen each spoonful of dough so it won't stick... push off into the water with your finger. I've also seen my father roll this dough out on a floured cutting board and cut it into strips for stroganoff noodles. One of my variations that is very delicious is to substitute spinach flour. They take to most any gravy and can be added to soups (don't cook them in the soup). My youngest sister likes them buttered with parmeasan cheese. My father often cooked a chicken, made gravy, and these spaetzle noodles to go with the gravy. After awhile he started leaving the chicken on the stove because everyone ate spaetzle and gravy until they were full. Give them a try Bobby. They are easy to make and difficult to get wrong. They float when cooked and you can even overcook them some without making them bad. They keep in the fridge and reheat perfectly in a microwave. : ) lyra

Yes I would suggest only giving them food stuff or a bottle of wine and requesting the same from them. Also say very directly that we are trying to minimize stuff in our house so we don't want any more tchotchkes and things like that. Of course you might have someone who is not compliant to your ideas of how to do things. This hasn't worked very well with one sister for me. She is very determined to give me every single angel that ever was made in Christmas land. I just pack most of them up and send them on their way to Salvation Army excetera and tell her that. Telling everyone else directly that I don't want any more things just perishable treats Etc and I will do the same has worked great for most of my family.
