? deviled eggs... OK .... I 'bit '!!

I love to take deviled eggs to dinners & people love them... guess making them is out of style now?!

Well, I find it really difficult some times to peel the hardboiled eggs ... even when I make sure the eggs are not real fresh & I add, vinegar, salt, put eggs in tap water & bring to a boil, etc., etc. & yet at times it is SO hard to get the shells off without damaging the egg!

SO... I 'bit' & ordered this thing called 'EGGIES' from a little catalog where the advertizement said you could boil eggs without the shell for deviled eggs, etc. I have tried & tried & have yet to get a nice hardboiled egg where I could use it for deviled eggs! The yolk seems to float to the top so when it is boiled, the top yolk can be removed but get only the bottom 'half' to use in a deviled egg!

Anyone else tried this contraption with better results? If I wanted just a boiled egg there would be easier ways to get one but I wanted an easier way to get the shell off the boiled egg without damaging the whole egg!
