I'm the opposite........I have HBP. I'm on meds to lower it.

My normal blood pressure is 110/70. If I get upset, it goes down to about 90/60.

I had 70 over NOTHING once. It was in an ambulance on the way to the hospital. I remember a nurse saying "I can't believe she is still talking!"

I think you should call your Dr. (anytime when in doubt.)

Mine is very high and take meds to lower it...My mother bless her soul, had very, very high BP and she would get sick if it came down...Unfortunately, she had been admitted to the hospital for the flu and they brought it down too fast and she had a stroke...BP is nothing to mess with.....

Another one on BP meds, here. And this was before the pregnancy. However, the meds have caused it to go low many times. I would say top number not lower than 90 and bottom no lower than 60, but when in doubt, call the doc!

Funny you should ask. I was at the dr. yesterday (long story) & have a monitor at home that my family all use. My DD is tiny, about 5'2" & 110 lbs. Her BP is always very low & I was worried so I asked my dr. yesterday about it. He said anything lower than 90 is cause for concern & you should be seen by a dr. DD's is usually around 100-110. As mentioned, BP is nothing to fool around with.

I took Bob to the ER a few years ago. He had been dizzy. I took his BP and it was 70 something over 60 something. I called the doctor and they said to get him to the ER. When he got there it had dropped to 60 something over 50 something. They admitted him and he was there for several days.

Your blood pressure is too low when you start having the symptoms you described.
As long as your brain functions well and with people who don't have renal failure, you are able to produce urine adequately, your blood pressure may be low but not too low.
You need to notify your nephrologist as soon as possible.

Every time I to the dr my BP reads high..quite high. This has been going on for years. White Coat Syndrome, anyone? I have a monitor at home, and keep track..but often I will have LOW BP symptoms. Lightheadedness, disconnected feeling, loss of motor control and sometimes I fall. Hurt myself quite badly a few years ago. After an episode, I immediately take my BP..and it's low. I eat when I'm hungry, don't when I'm not, drink a lot of water, and try to get at least SOME exercise of some sort every day, even if it's
just sorting laundry. Dr can't figure it out.

Didn't mean for this to be all about me..I hope you can find a solution to this problem. That "out of control" feeling is really scary.

Are you taking any meds that could be causing this? Ask your pharmacist, he/she will likely know more than the dr.

Bulldinkie, did you go see your doctor? Sounds like they took a little too much fluid off when they dialysed you. Hope you're feeling better.
