I wish I had done my research on this forum before starting. Everyone seems to be raving about cabinet coat. But I already bought paint and am having trouble.

I got BM's wood and metal enamel (water based). I'm getting heavy brush marks although I'm waiting many hours between coats, using a good brush, sanding between coats, using a light hand, trying to work quickly, but probably not quick enough...

What am I doing wrong? Is it Ok to wrap the brush airtight between coats or do I need to wash my brush in between?

Is there an additive that allows me to work more slowly by slowing down the drying process? If so, is it effective? Would thinning the paint be useful?

I have a lot of cabinet doors to be done (50 or so) and plan to do them little by little, but at this rate, it will take me a year!
