I don't think you really want to move on....or you wouldn't just keep this "soga" going and going. Every time I open this forum, your post is at the top. If you want to really move on, get something else in your life to occupy your time. Rehashing it all the time only keeps it alive in your mind and you are dwelling on it far too much...IMHO

People have to STOP responding to her posts....
ignoring them is the only way to stop them.

Oh, no. If you read that thread you'd know you have no business blasting pinkpeonies for the "saga." It got hi-jacked by a bunch of nonsense, went way off into the ditch, and she didn't have anything to do with it. What you see over there now, with the mud throwing, is NOT what her original post was about. She didn't even post anymore once it was hi-jacked.

I was thinking of posting to tell miss pink that I hope she is still around and wasn't completely turned off by what happened to her post. It was nasty what happened to her post, and nastier to flame her like this for something she did not do.

I just can't say enough to defend pink and make sure you know you are wrong to say this to/about her. She is innocent!

I had a similar problem with my MIL after the birth of our DS. But in retrospect I think a lot of it was my DH fault. MIL would call DH to let him know what her wishes were for our family during her visit and not wanting to rock the boat or maybe not knowing better he would agree. Then he'd tell me and I'd say no because.... Then he'd feel caught in the middle. I blamed her, she blamed me and DH was miserable. DH and I discussed it and he agreed not to agree to anything until we discussed it. It has made all the difference. That said she's still a strong force with her own ideas of how things should be. When she came to visit when he was 2 weeks old she told DH she would sleep on his bedroom floor to take care of him all night. DH thought that was a great idea so we could both get some sleep. NOT!!! Not sure what he was thinking anyway since I was breastfeeding. Huge fight! Also when I would let her hold DS she wouldn't give him back when he cried. So I had to go take him from her. Then the next time she held him and he started to cry she would literally run away from me so I couldn't take him. She'd even go outside of the house (IMO) so I couldn't hear him cry. She also camped outside of his room so when he woke from his nap she would be the one to get him up. At 4 months he'd scream everytime he saw her because like it or not she's not the one he wanted when he woke up from a nap. UGGGG I was very protective of him too (which I think is natural when they're young) and her behavior drove me crazy! Not to mention that she kept accidentally calling herself mom when she talked to him. Now he's two and he can spend as much time as he wants with her because now when he wants me he tells her "No, I want mama." And she tells him "Grandma is as good as mama" but he still runs to find me. :) Just a suggestion but as long as your DH is on your side can't you just be aloof and say "our lives are hectic and it's not a good time to visit the cabin" and leave it at that. I would never have thought you could get away with that but my husband does it all the time! And if they push he just gets a stern tone to his voice and say "It's just not a good time." You don't owe them any more of an explanation. Then let your dear husband take it from there if necessary. They really are his problem to deal with.

Sandra , you can do two but you need to make sure the height circumstance ratio is proportioned to your ceiling height and island size. So in a nut shell search for something that is short in height but has a large circumstance:width. Also a rod bs a chain will be more forgiving visually in a shorter length. Also don’t be afraid to put something up that wouldnt come up in an island light or pendant light search. You’re more likely to find what you need doing a chandelier search because because you want something large around. If two us what you want then make your Choice bold and intentional. Don’t hang two small scale lantern type lights up and expect them to work. Moving electrical and patching drywall etc. Is not cheap so really take your time until you find what is right. you could even do two of something like this for a Wow statement.

I would remove the two green chairs and one of the green loveseats. Possibly remove one table as well. It's just too crowded the way it is here (Snow can stay. he's beautiful) lets face it, no one is going to want to sit the green chairs (and it's just too much of one thing, the green velvet). I like everything else. once you find the perfect piece of art for the wall, it will look great. make sure that art piece is large enough. (not wider than the sofa though. but you can do something taller)

Looks lovely . I love the cupola! The things that stood out to me were, The 12’4” wall in the master bedroom is too small. You have your bed on that wall and if it’s a king, which in a room that is 18’ plus long it should be, you won’t have room for decent sized bedside chests. I would not want to walk through the mud room to get to my pantry. When I’m cooking i enter and exit my pantry several times and when I’m unloading a haul from Costco or grocery i bring in my bags and set them on the counter to unpack and load the fridge and pantry from there. Both of these every day activities would be hindered by having to walk around the corner and through the mud room . It would be much more efficient To have the pantry door go into the kitchen IMO. I also would want a powder room. If i had guests staying in main floor bedroom , say at Christmas and then the whole family was gathering i wouldn’t want them to have to use a guest bedroom bathroom Where the guests may have their things out on the counter. Last the laundry looks small. If this is your forever home think about how much laundry will be done in there. That is small and doesn’t leave much room for hampers , ironing boards and folding. Another thought you might want to think about is doing a pocket door from master bath into laundry so you have easy access to take laundry directly in. This might be especially nice when you’re in your late in Life years .

Agreed with stephanie in ga -- if you read pinkpeonies' thread carefully, you will see it was hijacked by anniebal/becky (the same person posting under different ID's apparently).

I haven't posted in that for weeks.

I still haven't had the time to figure out what went on in there! Kind of crazy.

I didn't get to read them all....but it is too bad for the "hi-jacking"...they (anniebal/becky) should have started their own post and I am sorry to pink if I offended you in any way.....and hope that you have indeed been able to move on in your life.

Let's just not respond anymore to the original post and maybe the hi-jackers will drop their own battle.

Anniebal/becky is not guilty of posting under the other names that have multiple ids that also have posted in that thread.

The situation is not going to improve if you accuse people of doing things that they have not done.

There is more than one person who has used multiple ids. Long before anniebal/becky did that.

amomymous -- with all due respect -- I did not accuse anyone of doing things they have not done. anniebal admitted in that thread she had posted using a different ID -- I merely restated that fact. I'm aware other posters have done the same, and may have also posted in that thread -- however, they did not actually hijack that thread. It all started with becky (aka anniebal) -- she was the one who took the thread off-topic, and kept posting and posting -- and that is hijacking. Those are the facts.

Thank you for your response. I felt that there was an implication in your comment that it was only anniebal. I stand corrected that you were not saying that and I apologize for the misunderstanding.

There is no doubt that others have done the same in that thread and have been doing it for some time in several threads. One of those others has contributed to the recent hostilities in the threads on estrangement by fanning the flames. Then when someone like anniebal has a meltdown in response, they stand back and watch the fire while hardly anyone takes them to task. I am going to call them "thread arsonists."
