I haven't had much time at the computer lately, and I missed this until now. Sorry. Thanks, LindaC, for answering in my stead, especially since I didn't know the answer! Loves2cook4six, I got the recipe from my King Arthur Flour Baking Companion, and their recipe for white bread calls for potato flakes, so that's what I copied down, and what I've done when I've made this recipe. (I'm only now getting to where I feel brave enough to experiment with changing bread recipes) There are others here that are much more expert on bread making than I am, but I can't imagine why you couldn't just use a different bread recipe, and just form the monkey bread as it's described, as Lowspark pointed out. I think a fairly light textured bread is called for, and I suspect the potato flakes might have something to do with helping the bread to keep a light texture. However, I don't really remember what the potato flakes do for the bread, other than they are a sugar source. I wish I could answer your question more clearly. Sally

Pizza on a super thin crust, sometimes a tortilla, is a Bar Pizza or Bar Pie. Bar pizza is a type of pizza that is typically found in bars, pubs, and old-school restaurants mainly in New England and other parts of the Northeast. Unlike a traditional Neapolitan or New York-style pizza, a bar pie is usually small in size (typically 10 inches in diameter), and cooked in a pan. The crust is often cracker-like and many, if not most places that serve bar pizza use sauce out of a can. The cheese on top of a bar pie is often greasy and browned as it extends all the way to the edge of the crust. We make them all the time, quick and really good. I heat the tortilla in a hot, cast iron frying pan with some oil, then add sauce and cheese and seasonings, and put the whole thing into the oven to broil until the cheese is golden and bubbly. If I make a lot, I'll slide them onto a greased cookie sheet so I can broil two at a time. I also use naan, which is more sturdy. I follow the same procedure, heating it up in a cast iron pan before I add the toppings and broil it.

I've found that with my Dad and my son. Both have nebulizers now (saga with my Dad) With this last go round with my Dad, he was on different courses of antibiotics/prednisone and albuterol breathing treatments over about 8 weeks still (coughing, coughing, coughing). Finally sent to a pulmonologist who added budesonide 2x a day to breathing treatments. Also breathing exercises (pickle, etc.) and changed his antibiotic to azythromycin because he had pneumonia. This is just some add'l info for you -- you know you and hopefully your immune system is going to kick butt here soon:) That's what I'm hoping. I'm sure you're exhausted both physically AND mentally! mamapinky0 -- wow! That's tough! Let's see ... activity and stress in a nine-year old? Um, yep. My goodness. I'm sure you've had your work cut out for you helping this little one recognize symptoms, triggers, etc. plus missing school, activities too, plus just being 9:) DS (25 now) came home from first grade basically coughing every 30 seconds (teacher kept sending him for water) Ended up in ER doing either 3 - 5 back-to-back breathing treatments, kid's eyes were all pupil. Went to Rite-Aid to get albuterol/meds. He was literally running laps up and down the aisles with my daughter trying to watch him. As the clerk told me it would be 30 minutes, I reached across, held her arm as he flew by and said "We don't have 30 minutes." DS always had trouble in fall but has been better in recent years, if that's any consolation. Agreed, 2Many! with your description of good doc! I don't want to get started (I mean look how long I've gone on) but I've said I gird myself for battle. I've actually watched a gastro back up out of the room while we were still asking questions -- sigh.
