This is Roque on the left and Sara on the right. They are both Pit Bulls. Roque is our newly adopted family member. My son and his friends found him in the desert. He was starved and dehydrated and weighed under 30 pounds. His back bone and hip bones were very prominent. We thought he was about 8 or 9 months old. The vet says he is 2 or 3 years old. He is very small because of what he's been thru. He's a very good dog and has fit right in. He's gained 5 pounds in the little over 3 weeks we've had him.

A year ago today I spent the day at Dream a Dream Kennels in Willow, Alaska.
During my visit I went on an eight mile sled dog ride.
AMAZING experience! I wish I were there right now.

Since we are going around the world, this is a picture of a little garden in the backyard of a hotel we were staying in at the end of a great trip to Ireland. All my other pictures are on a hard drive that isn't accessible at the moment, so this will have to do.

Here's a picture from a trip to Copala, Mexico, we took years ago. Some people in our tour chose to take the "Copala taxis" to the restaurant. I didn't take a "taxi." I walked. I think the little boys got a $1 for the taxi ride. It was a nice visit to this charming little village.
